I'm a political atheist. It allows me to step back and see things the way they are and not the way I want to be. Neither party is even close to the Constitution.

I don’t believe that anybody still adheres to the principles of the Constitution by the time they reached the upper levels of Politics.. Sold out, paid for.. needing another vacation home..

It all started with personal greed. Even as the founding fathers formed the “government that was for the people .” There was always someone in control that was looking to create wealth in their pocket. Very few politicians have been concerned with “we the people.” Like Mr. Smith goes to Washington!

We were never guaranteed to be President or an Astronaut! But we absolutely have the right to try! We were never guaranteed happiness, but the freedom to work hard and be whatever you have the stones it takes to achieve that goal! These newer generations misconstrue the differences..

Man, you hit on so many topics, I can't possibly comment on them all. If I openly expressed what I thought of the current day, I think peoples heads would either explode, or they'd say "spot on". I'll say this much, we are in deep shit, and the America we knew, is already gone. We're just living in the afterglow of what once was, for however long it lasts. One other thing I'll say, is this: In modern television, movies, media, what have you..... when was the last time you heard words like honor or integrity? I can't remember any time in recent memory. My daughter is 10. I'm very selective about what I let her watch. A good portion of what I do let her watch, much of it comes from the 80s and 90s, from my when I grew up. Therein, you'll find references to honor, and keeping your word, not often, but they are there - but you won't find it in ANY modern media I'm aware of. In the words of George Carlin, "there's a drop off here."

Thank you for speaking unbiased truth... I do believe we are headed for some rough times, and while I cannot see the future, I will do my best to prepare me and mine to the best of my ability.

I often wonder what the American Citizens of 1776 would do in our current situation… Are we willing to stand up to preserve what they created for us? Or will we let them down?

We need to be careful in saying that every legislator needs to be thrown out of office. I'm a City Councilman in my local city. I'm 100% Constitutional. I work to ensure money is only spent on what is necessary to run the city. I cannot be bought. I'm in Idaho. There are a group of Constitutional legislators in State office who also will not compromise. We need to find and support these people. There are far too many RINOS who need to be targeted. You need to research the voting records of the people in office. The good ones are rare. We need to support these people and work to keep them in office. Your points are well taken. Thank You ! If you are a person who wants to save our way of life. Who will work and vote to preserve our Constitutional Republic, run for local office. Get elected. Be the example of what a true Representative is. Otherwise, it's business as usual.

People have governments because they have become convinced that they have rights and that those rights need to be protected. I don't find anything about this in nature, so it has to be a human construct. A quote from something I read a while back, "That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed." Concentration of power results in a dictatorship. A dictatorship is the most efficient, but gives no guarantee of rights. So we need something in a government that can't concentrate power. A democratic republic, at its healthiest, looks like a circus, and can never concentrate power. Our government, probably in the '60's, found that the population had grown too big to control by threat of law only. So it increased it's "stories" (propaganda), to try to sway us. The stories told are controlled by agenda. Agenda determines which "truths" are being presented in a story, and in what order. Lots of stories keep the government in circus mode (which is a good thing). Ours looks pretty healthy right now. Best advise to navigate stories, follow the money / power. As for what's happening right now. I don't know that any more is happening than was always happening. We've got better communications now. "Future Shock" was written in 1975 and is relevant today. I _do_ still watch, and take notes. "You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows." But you do need to use your head. Stay Stoked!!!

You did some 'straight shootin' there Stoker! 👍 I'm a big 10th Amendment guy and believe strongly that had 'We the People' truly understood what the founders (actually the state or 'colony' authorities required the 'Bill of Rights' before accepting the Constitution) were telling us with that amendment - America wouldn't be in it's current condition. We sold out decades ago - maybe after WWII when 'the Greatest Generation' was looking to make things better for their kids. Screw independence and fortitude - it's just 'easier' to let the government do it - right? Just a thought. There's also the fact that during the Cold War the commies infiltrated our society and installed themselves within our public institutions. Certainly their long lasting influence on every generation since the 1960's has been gaining ground - especially as our Faith in God and Christian discipline has been dramatically declining since then. It really comes down to a 'battle of wills' at this point. The fed-gov's will to take total control of the American people's lives and the wills of the American people to resist that. On a political note - if you trust government whether local, state, federal to actually conduct a legit and guarded voting process - think of voting for a movement of 'change' rather than an individual or group of individuals. Good luck looking for 'Jesus' amongst the American citizenry to vote for - it isn't realistic.

Very few people use a gun if they own one. In Sweden we are not allowed to have weapons. We who don't have guns never get shot, the ones who get shot are the ones who have guns. They shoot each other. I feel safe without a gun. The only thing that would make me uncertain is if there will be a lot of Russian tourists with weapons. In that situation, our authorities hand out lots of weapons to us. In Sweden, our authorities hand out information on how to become preppers. In the US preppers are seen as odd people, in Sweden those who are not preppers are seen as odd.
