@Rey D..... If you would have read the instructions, you would know that when the red light is blinking, that means the batteries are low and need to be replaced... You're welcome... Please read instructions, they are there for a reason....

I had the same problem in a milder case. Try cleaning the contacts of the battery residue with an ear swab.

You can't constantly use it, at full power, without letting it cool off. If not, it'll fry.

thanks for the warning. this will be my first flash. now i know to not use it all the time and to let it cool and use better batteries.

it say in the manual that you may not fire the flash more than 20 times when at full power, since it gets extremely hot. I wonder if you exceeded that ...

after 20 minutes of constant flashing you must give it a 10-20 minutes break. According to the manual the flash will do it automatically; i gues your case is a good warning if it is the same case.

Is it still under warranty? If stick with your camera brand.

Some good advice for wedding or event photographers, would be to purchase a battery pack. This way, you ensure shorter recycle times and even if the batteries themselves are empty/dead then you can still shoot without having to replace them on the fly. This is crucial for weddings as moments can pop out at any given moment. GODOX makes grrrrrrrreat battery packs and I've even turned fellow photographers onto them. Hang around your neck, slide on belt loop via the clip (which btw is made onto the battery pack) and fire away.

I have seen a lot of good reviews and the three I have work fine. So I wouldn't worry. He also commented that he fixed it and it was a loose rod that made contact. Every product has a lemon but they stand out more.

Hi there, have you tried "photo SFX art" (google it)? There you can watch a good free video explaining how you can take brilliant photographs. It made it easier for Matt to shoot pictures which leave you with that wow-effect after you take a look at them. Hopefully it will help you too...

Use 1 dummy battery. Means it's got too much power in it.

Hey there, do you know "Photo SFXart Tricks" (just google it)? There you can watch a great free video showing how to shoot impressive pictures. It helped Daniel to shoot pictures that leave you with that jaw-dropping-effect after you look at them. Hopefully it will work for you too...

FIrst off stop using duracell in speelite because the recycle sucks and yes they get hot! I use CVS's rechargeable batteries and recycle is awesome, don't get hot. You simply failed to read directions and you need to know what correct batteries to use.
