Nice job sir, you keep fooling around your going to have one fine looking and running machine. This has to be one of my favorite series on your channel because I would be doing pretty much the same thing and includes reading disassembly instructions after the fact!!!!🙄😏😉😂😂 Thanks for the update sir, fun stuff.

A new piece of floor plate or some people call it diamond plate would be a nice upgrade on the backhoe! Probably a piece of angle iron would work for the door frame it looks like Mike! The black grill is nice now brother, Kirk from Louisiana! Thanks for sharing my friend! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Just an FYI, in case you didn't already know, and since you used brake cleaner to clean that exhaust bracket. For future reference, any parts that you plan to weld on should only be cleaned with non-chlorinated solvents, otherwise when you weld on it, the residue will generate chlorine gas, which you REALLY don't want to be breathing. Some folks will call me a nervous Nellie, but I've had that drilled into my mind from numerous shop teachers and welding instructors. Just lookin' out for ya bud! 🙂

Captain, GOD BLESS YOU! The job would be tough enough without recording the repair. But you make it look easy, by changing camera angles, documenting the nuances, showing the parts and process... A DANG MIRACLE! I hover, sweat, curse, and crowd over every struggle. You have to lean back, get the shot, figure it out, call around (maybe wait to get an answer or part), fix it, put it back together, clean up... AND EDIT THE WHOLE DANG THING. Wow! Thank YOU sir!!!

Good morning Cap’n… There’s nothing more invigorating than working on the triple nickel in double nickel temps! “There’s NO PLAN like having NO PLAN!” Cap’n I think you just came up with a new caption for your next batch of T-shirts. I’m glad the Crow Foot spanners came in handy. I was thinking about the three nickels when I sent them… they may also work in the Ranger portion of the RangeAru! Won’t be long and you’ll be hoeing around to your hearts content… and that’s a good thing! PS: we have 7 broods of bluebirds and two of wrens. Did you have any luck?

I wonder how many times on my "junky old equipment" I've found that the cause of "junky" was that someone in the past used the wrong thing to "fix" a problem, that just ended up causing more problems? (Okay, I'll confess, sometimes I was the someone.😁) Thanks for the video, and take care,
I believe what Dave sent you are called crowsfeet. Smart man to replace both hoses.
Good morning captain. Love the videos. I wish u could post every day
Had an 1955 Oliver Super55 with the same Ford steering gear. I sold it for $1000 rather than deal with taking the entire dash apart to replace the $600 gear. As reported on some forums, the kit repair wasn't a walk in the park. I'm rooting for you.
I liked @DieselCreek 's characterization of projects like this (his Christine restoration as an example) as a "social distance restoration", which looks good if you're more than 6' away.

Thumbs up 👍 even the smallest piece can make it look so much better 😂
Ah, the chug of a three cylinder diesel.... unique!!! Pleased you got the main hydraulic hose replaced, those clips are much better suited to that application 👍 Your face had a disturbed look when you lifted the top cover off the steering pump, your explanation as to what you had done made sense, the manual came in handy ! Pleased there is plenty of parts out there readily available for you too !!! The offset spanner head from Dave has found its use, good of him to send it up to you!!! 😁
OMG 😱 What did you do to your face? Dose it hurt? Cuz it's killing me. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 Thanks bud for the video. Rattling those nuts on hoses and fittings sure works great.👍 thanks
The style A/C compressor that was on there makes an excellent air compressor! It was very popular with the off road crowd for the speed and simplicity. Could be handy on there, or another project vehicle. Keep up the awesome content!

I was replacing the fuel line on an old truck. Local parts made it with hydraulic hose with their crimp ln b fittings. Good stuff!
Those battery cable ends are only for when your broke down emergency only. Swet copper eyes on the cables and use marine cable terminals so the cables can be bolted on, you’ll be glad you did!
It is like an appendix, who needs one of those. Actually, I like taking things apart and putting them back together again. Sadly, I usually end up with a few extra parts, like an appendix. I took apart a wood planer (thicknesser for those of you one the other side of the pond). I painted a 10'x4' table white and put everything on the table just like they showed in the book. A lot of folks said I would never get it back together. I did.

Nice to see you working on the 555 again Captain. It's gonna be a real handy piece of equipment on your homestead and on your brothers property. My Wife and I use those blue toweks cleaning chicken wing grease covered pool tables in sports bar when I recover them. They get really nasty. You can wash and reuse them 3 or 4 times before they are onky goid for one last use cleaning oil and gunk. Saves some cash outlay for us. No bleach tho, it destroys them.

Rather than beat the grill out ( or other stuff in the future) Remember that you have the outriggers on the backhoe. Lay grill on a flat surface and drop an outrigger on it. Portable hydraulic press!!!!!
