it's pretty insane that this hasn't been resolved by now. Thank you for making this video.
I know. they have all the information to display MIDI recorded takes as playlists - but somehow do not. There is another way to audition looped recorded MIDI takes - using right click on recorded clip - Matching Alternates which allows you to select different takes. But if you use MIDI recording a lot the list can get really busy.

For sure! The ability to group and comp with an associated audio track! Really is a must have… been thinking about that as well

I want to use like an instrument track to comp melody’s with a piano but no it’s not possible I’m not gonna remortgage either to get this feature

"This is the one thing about Pro Tools that bugs me" I say this all day about lots of things, come to think about it.
I'll get some dirt on the devs at Avid and blackmail them into fixing this. It is the only way.

It's absolutely unbelievable that we're almost in 2024, I'm looking for a solution for this (wich EVERY DAY HAS) and the only thing I can find is a video of another producer just saying how she cannot understand either why this isn't build already. We're having absurdly useless stuff nowadays and they keep ignoring the fact that MIDI playlists are CRUCIAL for most people. Even makes me want to leave Pro Tools for real.
