Didn't understand anything as a complete beginner. What is a camber sail?

Cambered sails have one or many (more usual) plastics parts between front end part of the battens and mast. These pieces keep a fixed distance between battens and mast generating a wing like profile permanently making the sail more table and fast. Non cambered sails need wind pressure to get the wing profile. When you go upwind at close angle you lose that profile because you have less cross wind force losing performance. Cambered sails are way more stable and have broader wind range.

Hey folks, notice around the 2:00 mark the boom is right in the middle of the cut-out on the mast (forgive my terminology) and it looks good. Now I'd say I'm average hight (5'10") and my whole windsurfing life the boom is always at its lowest point in that cut-out and on some of my sails it still feels too high. Has anyone experienced this? what is going on here?
