Obviously Mario is the star of the show today as the most accomplished player we've seen on the channel making his youtube debut, but I do want to highlight how wonderful it is to watch Nikki play, as well. He has such beautiful clean technique, Federer-like. Looking forward to footage of the full set.

Sad to hear that Mario decided to retire. Loved watching his aggressive baseline game. And it seemed like he had everything in place for that ATP breakthrough and was on the verge of it. But then again, we can see so many guys out there that are cleary not enjoying being on the court. And that's even more sad. Hopefully, time away from the tour will help Mario to either rediscover his love for competition. Or finding something else that he enjoys. Either way, wishing him all the best in future

Hi Jonas! Great video, as always! Congrats! I've recently changed from a yonex ezone 100 (2019) to a Vcore 100 2023 due to a forearm / wrist tendan lesion (it's softer and not to much weaker) and your reviews helped me a lot! Now, I'm willing to try some new strings (with a good balance between confort, spin and durability with good budget), but can't decide among so many options. Could you make a series of video like the best strings within each price range: 0- 5, 5 - 10, etc?! I think it would help a lot of players! 2 strings that I think I'll try are: msv focus hex, mayami tour hex and isospeed baseline control.

So Mario played the Wilson Blade Pro v8 (the H22 mold)? Is it the 18x20 or the 16x19? Do you know if he customized it / added lead or anything?

Hi Jonas, love the point play and based on the feedback of the two pros, I think you should revisit the blade pro 16 x 19, but version 8. I got one on a whim just to see what an h22 felt like thinking it would be too demanding based on your review, but mine were right on spec and strung swingweight is only 330.

What are the specs for Mario? They both hit a heavy ball. I really appreciate the balance of both players.

Hi Jonas, I have two Pro Staff 97 v13s - one is 315g with a 325 swingweight, the other is 317g with a 327 swingweight. I haven’t measured this myself, it is according to tennis warehouse who sold me the rackets. The heavier one is much harder to use for me despite the small difference in weight, is that normal? I’m a 4.5 player (around 8 UTR).

You would want to check the balance too. The specs you listed are pretty darn close otherwise. If they both have the same balance it shouldn’t really be that noticeable.

I really loved the PS X. Hitting with it has made me wonder why I ever left the Pro Staff fold. It doesn't have huge topspin (not my game anyway), but boy does it have a great connection to the ball, crisp and direct.
