Pro-Palestinian protests continue at universities in the Netherlands

Academics and students at universities in the Netherlands protested against the harsh police intervention against the protests in support of Palestine and the university administrations' continued cooperation with Israeli organisations.
In the demonstrations organised by academics and students supporting Palestine in the Netherlands simultaneously at 11.00 local time in many universities, especially at the University of Amsterdam (UvA), Utrecht, Leiden, Radboud, university administrations were protested.
The demonstrators condemned the harsh police intervention against the protests in support of Palestine and demanded the university administrations to end their cooperation with Israeli organisations.
Hundreds of academics and students gathered at the Roeterseiland campus of the University of Amsterdam and criticised the police prevention of the demonstration that started on 6 May.
Speaking academics stated that universities are at the centre of freedom of expression and freedom of assembly and condemned the intervention of bulldozers, dogs, batons and pepper gas against the demonstrators.
