The protest in support of Palestine, which started on 7 May at the University of Geneva in Switzerland, has left the 7th day behind. While the students' protest on campus has been going on for a week, hundreds of people supporting them gathered in front of Geneva University.
All universities in different cities of the Netherlands organised a joint protest for Palestine. A large number of people participated in the demonstrations organised by demonstrators, including professors and students, on the grounds that universities are complicit in supporting and financing Israel. About 1000 people participated in the protest organised in front of the Bestuursgebouw administration building at Utrecht University in Utrecht. Turning the protest into a silent sit-in, the demonstrators continued their protest by lying on the ground to represent and honour those who died in the Gaza Strip.
