Yup now games are ethier strickly focused on online or just dont care for online theres no more in between which sucks for us who like the best of both worlds gta is a perfect example of perfect story mode and online mode

I wish they'd remaster it for modern consoles, along with the other two AVP games from 1999 and 2001

I remember playing as an alien, busting a light bulb on the ceiling and sitting there in ambush. People would come running through the hallway without seeing me there, and I had perfect camouflage for an easy tail stab from above.

Wall tail into a grab was always a freebie. Taught the others not to go into dark areas without a smartgun or flamethrower

Especially inside the pyramid, especially in the lower area where the ceiling was very close to the floor, in fact it was the best map for the Alien, since you could easily use the tail attack and kill in 2 or 3 hits.

Marine vs marine basically any Cod shooter, pred vs pred was difficult but fun however when aliens fight each other it’s a stress inducing headache.

Agree. I usually try to be stealthy as pred when I go against a pred but alien it's annoying when there is always 1 dude hiding in the very top of the map on 1v1

Back in the day it was extremely frowned apon to use the plasma caster

Truth, I'd use it on the aliens but not the Marines

There were only a few Mad Lads online that could use the Alien to it's full potential and they were almost op against the marine and predator species

I’d like to believe I was one. I had a tactic for the marines where i’d sprint them down and the motion tracker would alert them but I’d jump over them, charge a heavy attack, and land behind them. always an easy kill. Predators without their gadgets were easy targets as well.

I wonder why they made it that predators get knocked down so easily on pc and on console they’re much harder to knock over and health takes all your energy on console as well

Whenever I host a lobby I always try to make it lore wise with the numbers of Units. 3 preds, 4 marines, 5-6 aliens

We need someone, ANYONE to come by, pick this game and mod it to address its shortcomings.. would be fantastic if the damn source was released!

I remember when I would play Predator in this game's multiplayer, I would sometimes place a plasma proximity mine on or near sought after Marine weapon pickup locations on the multiplayer maps. I would sometimes wait up above, somewhere near the trap I made, and see if I'd get a kill that way and I would, at times. 😀 I remember one Marine player kept trying to get this one special weapon at a particular area on one of the multiplayer maps, but kept getting killed by my mines. It was funny that they got killed once, but what made it funnier is the player kept coming back and kept getting killed by my mines. 😀

I wish they remastered this Game instead of GIVING US 1 GAME FOR EACH SPECIES. MAKES NO SENSE I MISS THE PVP. THE ALIENS VS MARINES VS PREDATOR. THE TEMPLE MAP WAS SO FUN

They could atleast give us an open world predator game or an open world xenomorphs game where we play AS the two species. They never make alien games where you play as the alien it's always killing them or horror style. I just want to play as my favourite deadly killing machine that can take over planets in many many hours

I genuinely believe this games better the predator hunting grounds and their needs to be another fr fr

I often use alien vision instead heat vision because you can literally see those soldiers or androids clearly but aliens don't.

I remember playing against the top ranked guy several times. I've only gotten 3 kills on him. Predator with like a bunch of X's, can't remember his name, he was on the 360. If you read this bro, mad respect to you. My old handle was grassfury.

"Pro" is playing predator. Broken faction with no real weakness. Thats why if you ever join a lobby, you will see the majority playing predator and most only know how to use the plasma gun and nothing else. Too bad this is an outdated game with 0 balance.

​@@giulianoadam I can agree to disagree, why? Because obviously i met some badass pro marines and xenos. It's species team that sucks Mixed is where all the real pros play. Like overwatch where it has multiple roles. It depends on the situation and the rest. Now bugs issues textures glitches i mean i think the new gen gaming isn't far from this either. You gotta take the beauty of this game the way it is. Many pros like LHZ Clan who have been competed for 13+ years almost have always been a versatile team of all species to be at the top.

I'm a noob and he's supposed to be experienced but this game brings out the worst of us because of how unbalanced it is at times. I love him but for the duration or an AvP match he becomes my worst enemy lmao

It seems there's no way one player can avoid being persecuted, even if you played well. Does this depend on the fact that this game is unbalanced?

This game is so unique but people hate on it /im going to school so i Can get it for the Bois

I love this game, it is the best AvP game so far imo. I also used to play it back in around 2021-22 and during covid. But for me, the servers which have decent amount of players in them are all above 150 ping because I am from NE india so I had to play at a very bad ping with really huge delay, and most of the mechanics in the game are really unbalanced, like the alien's tail whip while wall crawling cannot be blocked but it fast and really hard to dodge against a good alien players, and people insta killed me from behind all the time because I had exceptionally bad ping. I wish they had made a decent anti-cheat for this game and good servers all across the globe so people won't have to play at high ping. And the capaign was awesome, especially the predator campaign, only sad thing was that the campaigns were too few.

Predator is always the best to play online

Each team should be limited in a 1-2-3 scale. 1 predator for each 2 marines and 3 aliens.

I suck at multiplayer so much. No matter what I am playing with I die fast :D

I’m still sad we never got a sequel to this gem following on the xenomorph home world maybe get some new predator tech and special adaptations for xenomorphs

Is this on PC or console, these matches? And are these public matches like with matchmaking, or are they private? First match was hilariously imbalanced

I was hated in this game because I mined every entrace as a predator. I had series 10 kills with mostly mines.

I been having trouble with non fair players when I am playing as the predator they also play predator

I had no luck in any online matches

All day played nice game

They shuld buff predator toughness and nerf the vision by remove the normal v. Also make marine scanner to be like the one in alien isolation since it's too broken.

Anyone else playing on PS3? Was able to get better internet recently and tried playing multiplayer but no one was on.

We need a new AVP game, or a remaster. Or better yet, imagine an open world multiplayer game in the alien or predator universe. It makes me so angry that these huge popular franchises hardly ever get any love from entertainment companies. The possibilities are endless and the market is there for it.

I would say so, I still play this on series S and I get lobbies.

I love this game

You could get so many kills quickly as the alien they were the best to play as easily Marines had to stick together to have any chance

I found out some people. You have to play Player match, then browse games and select dedicated servers (Internet). Normally there is 10-12 guys playing Team Species DM or Mixed, but it is something ;)

So, I'm trying to understand the balance of power here: It is that Predators > Humans Humans > Aliens Aliens > Predators Is that it's meant to be? Because the game doesn't look balanced at all. It almost seems as if Predators are stronger than both Aliens or Humans. Aliens are the fastest species. Humans....are fodder.

Every class was balanced if they were in the hands of the right person. Only thing was playing as marine was boring and barley anyone wanted to play as them.

Playing as the humans in multiplayer while unbalanced game play wise was still great because of the horror factor. You're so much more vulnerable and when you do get the kills it's supper satisfying. I remember back in the 360 days (not sure about pc) the guns humans use were pretty damn strong, and there were plenty of games where the humans won over all.

The humans were so trash lol all the aliens and predators had to do was strong attack then square or X and you killed them

i remember playing this game a lot. as i recal, Predator with plasma is noob ;)
