Spiff doesn't really do exploit videos as much anymore. But he can't escape his own branding. Many times he will present simple synergistic strategies as exploits for a video.

A rare example of Spiff just playing the game as intended. Once Spiff manages to trigger the Essence of Guillotine he'll be able to brag that he broke the game by getting too much money. Spiff: _plays on Endless mode_ Spiff: "The game just won't end!"

At this rate, Spiff might even have money left over to heat his home AND buy groceries

@@TitusRedwind any basic broken build: get a symbol that can be buffed by other symbols x times, get loads of those other symbols. If we have a base symbol worth 2 with 8 symbols around buffing it x2 it's gonna give you 512 coins. Now pick a symbol that has the highest base value (or one that can increase it permanently), pick any items and essences that buff it, items that make it easier to make symbols adjacent (protractor, telescope, swapper), some arrows and you're making millions+ each spin. Sun + flower is strong because sun has insane x5 buff and there are many items buffing flowers Cats are insane because there are multiple items and essences buffing them, including one that gives them x13 buff. Also item/essence buffs multiply each other so after 2 x13 essences your cats have x169 multiplier

Spiff not understanding exponential notation is kinda hilarious.

There is an option to turn off scientific notation but I guess if he doesn't know what it is, it doesn't help.

I'm actually surprised he doesn't. The man is all about ridiculously high earnings in a variety of games. To sum, up, for anyone who doesn't know... the e[N] part of the number is roughly how many decimals you need to move from the first number, to know what your actual number is. If it's a positive number you move your decimal right, if it's a negative number, you move it left. one quick example is: 1.56 e6 == 1,560,000 whereas 1.56 e-6 == 0.00000156 This is a simplified version to help us normal plebs make sense of all the "powers of 10" math that goes on behind the scenes. (note: this is also in my main comment, but I figured it would be useful in this comment-chain as well. :)

The landlord is probably just spiff from another dimension where he is a real estate owner instead of a professional game exploiter.

Been loving your videos for awhile glad you made it to this game. Hopefully you’ll come back to it once you get to level 25

I don't know if its still in the game, but cats can generate septillions of gold eventually. Doubling, wild cards, beast masters, and telescope make it crazy.

Man, Spiff's reactions remind me so much of when I started playing this game. Now wait until he learns that you can actually FIGHT the landlord with money.

This has been one of my favourite game for the past year, hope you enjoy spiff!

Excellent video, as always. I'm glad the devs gave Spiff the opportunity to DESTROY a cup of coffee so it may never be drunk.

I love these kind of videos where there's no exploit, just numbers and multipliers!

Having played/broken this game in the past myself... the numbers really won't surprise me. I remember getting trillions per roll being very very possible with certain builds. Like Midas and Pirates but I remember that if you get all the cat items... cats get insane, basically become wildcards that then double their own value.

Awesome video! The e stands for exponent btw, so 1e4 means 1x10^4. so basically 10.000 :)

I was waiting for him to do this game. One of my favorite chill mindless games

I like that time is measured in spins of the slot machine. This implies that if you never spin the machine, you never have to pay rent

3 words. Black cat essence. Especially when you get the bug I got where popsicle and popsicle essence somehow give you hundreds of black cat essences because it is the latest essence I picked up. All before even unlocking essences of course thanks to dishwasher. That run made the strongest flower build look like a joke.

Spiff sounds like having a good time playin as the developers intended. Is nice to just have fun

You and Let’s game it out, I think makes a great combo for one video.

As the german translator for this game, I am happy you didn't manage to actually break it and simply enjoyed it loads! Thank you for showing more people this masterpiece!

@@youri3808 powers are literally just multiplying though, regardless of unit (as george said, if it says e4 it just means there are 4 digits behind the dot in the number it represents), while 1e3 km is just 1000 km, 1e3 miles would be 1000 miles (it is often associated with the metric system cause it works very well together, since it's just another way to express orders of magnitude (1000 m=1 km=1e3 m (vice versa 1e-3 km=1 m)) :D

@@youri3808 also theoretically speaking everybody on earth is using the metric system, since the metric definitions are based on fundamentals (i.e. distance of light travelled in a vacuum in a specified time for meters, number of atomic decays in caesium for seconds and so on), while the official definition of a mile is 1,609.344 meters as of 1959 so even if they use imperial units, those values now are by definition based off of the metric equivalent

I've been watching DangerouslyFunny do a series on this since early access. I always thought you two would make a great collaborative work.

Hey Spiff, I would recommend you try vampire survivors for exploiting. It's a fun game all about becoming super powerful. One of my runs I got so much happening on screen that the game itself started chugging and I was able to walk straight through walls without a problem. If I could do that, imagine what the king of exploits and tea could do. Anyways, hope everyone has a good day.

What a quality video, this is not a cult

The build I've found most broken in this game is Miners, Dames, Ores, and Geologists. It works out quite similarly to this combo, but most of the gems themselves have very powerful synergies and can quickly get you absurd amounts of cash. It's also much faster than the not-a-cult strategy, since there are so many ores and gems in the game compared to just one type of cultist.

Also, for anyone trying to break Endless Mode in a similar way: Hold F to speed up animations, and if you turn off scientific notation in the settings the amount of money you're making makes a lot more sense

This is not a cult, this is in fact actually a genius playing a video game.

It's crazy how the spiffing Brit is now synonymous with exploits I've seen clips on shorts of people just putting his thumbnails in when the word exploit is mentioned

I have 150 hours in the game from just playing occasionally over the past year and the dev has been very dedicated to it. New content, constant bug fixes, and I don't think I've even seen a bug personally ever. Worth the buy for sure.

I think the game may expect you to do this if you get multiple pages of relics.

3:53 is where I noticed exactly what build he was doing It’s not really an exploit as much as it is a really powerful build. An even more broken build for when you unlock essences is: 13 cats, 6 hexes of the same type, 1 witch This enables you to grab many essences that multiply the value of the symbols, and one essence makes the cats initial value copy that of the highest adjacent symbol’s value

I wonder what the actual mathematically best builds are... But yes. This is a pretty normal floor 1 run.

Best way to understand the creature: its main body resides under the board, thus feeding its tendrils increases its size and strength. That's why it never loses its value, only increases each sacrifice.

Unless I am wrong or it was updated out, don't multiple Creatures devour the same person/hex meaning you can use 1 to get multiple stacks?

It's OK Spiff, the game doesn't say you have to drink the coffee. In fact, it rewards you with an extra spin when you eventually destroy it!

Considering Spiff did a rather small "exploit" (if you could even call it that), I would assume he's probably disappointed that that's all Spiff could manage.

I have never played this game and probably never will, but there is something so enjoyable about a perfectly optimized “deck”

In France there's a rule of thumb that says "anything in Paris is twice as expensive as anywhere else in the country". In the UK, it's basically twice that much. When Spiff gets involved, it's beyond anyone's pay grades. Spiff is the black hole of finance: anything that comes close never comes out.

This gets even more fun after you unlock essences and combine the Eldritch Creatures with insane buffed Wildcard Cats. I have 16-37k multipliers on my wildcards and can easily get 1e8 (even 1e9 if I'm lucky) coins per spin.
