I got a havoc/mud buddy and absolutely love mine! Most brands don’t make a 16” version and I’m usually hunting by myself so I don’t need a big boat.

I have a 2054 Pro Drive TD with a 40hp and Love it !!! Thinking about upgrading to the new 50hp. KP and all the Staff are Fabulous, would not hesitate to drive out from Oregon again and buy one. If You are serious about duck hunting, fishing ,or frogging in the marsh and want an excellent mud boat, buy a Pro Drive.

What of speeds and rpm are you getting on your 2054?? I think something is wrong with my 2054 I don’t have the TD I have the Xseries

Nice boat good for you guys!!! I just picked up a Excel F4 shallow water 1854 with a Mudbuddy 40 anniversary and a few up grades. Very happy with it so far looking forward to the duck season first season with it.

Nice rig, but you won’t be getting to the hole first. I have a 1750 Gatortail Extreme cutdown hull with GTR 40. To be honest, my next rig will be a 1854 Prodrive TD with the Stick Steer console. Glad that they added instant reverse along with full power reverse. I could really use that full power reverse and the gatortail cannot compete with that option. Nice rig!!

After running both what do y’all like better ?

The down sound is the flat bottom though it’s not gonna turn as good as the gator tail you had. But nice boat!

Thanks! No, they trim the same. Pretty sure the paint is always gonna come of the skag pretty easy because of it running through and scraping on the bottom. That scag on our gtr was stripped clean on the first use

Hey so I’m getting my, first duck dog and I’ve watched your videos and Chris Akins but how early can you start “formal training” and at what age are they ready to hunt.

“Formal training starts day one when you get your puppy. They need to learn the ABC’s before algebra. How old? I’ve have them in the field at 6 months, but that’s more experience than doing work, obviously the sooner they get exposed to hunting the faster they pick it up. Hope this helps

What made y’all go with the prodrive over the gatortail? I’m looking to get a mud rig but I’ve always liked gtr’s over prodrive

Have you taken it on any rocky bottom rivers? I'm in idaho and I hunt the snake river alot and I have a jet, and it does good but Suckling up weeds that are floating on the surface or if its shallow and it sucks them up it kills it till you get it cleared. And the reason of the snake i hunt most the the drive time isn't in the main river so it is between 3ft and 1ft. And once I get 1ft or less it will suck up weeds. Just curious as I am debating a pro drive for when I get a bigger boat.

@@MidValleyMercenaries ya I was wondering have you been on any shallow rocky bottom rivers. Such as the snake river or boise river as an example. The snake in some areas is weed bottom w mud, but alot of it is a mixture of both rocks(large and small) and weeds.

30 mph with 2 guys, no gear. Ask again during season to see what it is with hunting load

you can also tap the momentary button and give it throttle

@mattthereverend1981 we love it! Great maneuverability, handles very well in turns, and it’s gear driven instead of belt. The PD is very friendly and great to work with as well. We will be getting the 50 next year

Prodrive customer service is 100% better then gatortail but gatortail is better in my opinion then Prodrive. Depends on your hunting conditions
