Ever since I started trying to get better at counter-strike, I’ve been intrigued by the idea of working with a coach. But I always felt like it wouldn’t be worth it for a lower skilled player like myself. Like won’t I just get better if I play more? Isn’t it kind of embarrassing to spend money on something I actively suck at? I’m not sure why exactly I’ve made these judgments. After all, hiring a coach or tutor is an accepted practice for novices in all sorts of hobbies and activities - so why not competitive video games? After waffling for a bit, I decided it would be easier to justify this to myself by making content out of it, so here we are.

Thanks for the video. Being annoyed or bored truly is.a symptom of your brain learning. You brain start to recognize pattetn. So nothing "feels new". Wich is boredom. It's crazy because undersranding a new concept feels good. But "acquiring" a concept is getting bored of it. Push threw man !

How much time do you spend training vs playing pugs? I’ve found I’ve ranked up significantly faster by ditching warmup/practice and just playing games

Im binge-watching your videos for a while but I've noticed that you are uploading 10 months of coaching sessions and you are still only level 5? (I assumed because of a thumbnail)

11:00 What if you can focus and control yourself in deathmatch but you still screw it up in real matches? It seems like a purely mental problem but idk how to overcome it
@xboxlasagne

it's because intuitively i know that deathmatch is just practice and a game is "real"
Play DM, don't crouch for the full 10 minutes. Next DM, alternate.

I unbind control in death match to fix this behavior, it's pretty hard to unlearn 😂
