Pro Beach Roller Hockey '98 - '99 on ESPN

Спорт

Pro Beach Hockey (PBH) was filmed in Huntington Beach, California and broadcast on ESPN for three season from 1998 - 2000. 6 Professional Roller Hockey Teams battled for $50k in prize money each year. Known for it's 2 point goals and ramps in the end zones the game was hard hitting and high scoring with an occasional fight thrown in for good measure...It was a blast!!!

Wow, I always remembered watching this stuff as a kid but I couldn't recall exactly what it was. I thought the ramped ends were so cool.

A friend of mine was all about this. Roller Hockey was big in the Pittsburgh area at this time. I would like to see a full game of this.

I guess I should chime in and confirm that it was huge in Philly too. It helped that the Flyers were still in the Lindros/Leclair era. I remember almost every street in my neighborhood having a game going, as well as huge pickup games in the blacktop areas of the school

Web Warriors won the first PBH championship, named The James J. Allegro Cup, over Dawg Pac, two games to none. Xpress won the second PBH championship in 1999 over Heavy Metal, two games to one. Web Warriors won the final PBH championship in 2000.

I agree! just regular inline hockey on the beach setting would be better. everyone here just takes slap shots with the stupid ball and doesnt create any plays from below the goal line; boring lol
