Love the video, followed it tutort style, added the sample to my portFo, don't regret it. But... isn't squarespace a dead company walkin? I mean, ChatGPT just spit the code for 8 feature rich websites samples into my browser window based on the prompt "don't make me hate this" some random color codes and a spattering of topic relevant media that ChatGPT sourced itself from a copyright-free image database for building small business websites. All I had to do was copy and paste. Does SquareSpace have ChatGPT fully integrated? Because the future is yesterday. Just sayin...
- adds memes - engages viewer - convinces viewer to click other videos -step by step and easy to learn could not have found this youtuber at a better time 👍

It would be much faster and easier with C4D than Blender using a mo-graph effector instead of the manually keying and adjusting curves (unless you mean the liquid reveal part). I see other C4D people here saying what you have though. I'm a Blender guy since leaving the C4D studio I was at a few years ago. I use add-ons a lot to speed things up in Blender, and I think I'll defer to what's out there if I start doing more of this product animation again. I also miss the look of Redshift renders when my employer paid for it, but "free" currently makes Cycles looks better lol. Yep, your videos are great Smeaf!

Mr. Smeaf thank you for helping me turn dreams to a reality. i was always a great artist but back before digital art was a think. i pursued an engineering degree and then became almost stumped after. i stumbled across your Blender videos a year or so ago and opened up a whole bunch of avenues for me and how i design. Now having both the physical and digital design aspects under my belt i cant wait to grow my businesses. Do you happen to work for some kind of studio ? I would love to pay you to basically take my blueprints animations and improve them for me. I would also love to pay you to promote my company as I am looking to hire fellow animators, 3d artists, game devs, etc to team with my engineers and change the world one step at a time. I know this may sound sketchy or like a bot account but if any other freelancers interested, this is an opportunity you wouldnt want to miss 🙏🏽
please keep up your amazing work

I'm no patent lawyer, but why would it be illegal to share the original design? The design itself is public record, since they would have needed to submit the design to get it patented in the first place. The only thing I could imagine would be a problem is sharing the logos, which are likely trademarked.

Awesome content once again @smeaf! Looking at the keyboard animation, please i would like to know, where can i find such a file detailed file/image containing the seperate parts of an electronic or mechanical device, and if there's a name for such a file or image, what is it called? I really need to create one on my own, maybe a watch.
Wonderful tutorial. As somebody who has yet to really seriously dive into Blender but would like to eventually once I have time, I really enjoy your tutorials. I actually have a question regarding something you do in this video I was hoping you might be able to answer. I noticed that for your shots, in order to create that effect of the keyboard existing in a blank white void, you have the sort of setup in your file for your backdrop that a legit photographer might use. You use a long, curved sheet as the backdrop. However, since you're working in a 3D program, you could just as easily (if not more easily) make the actual environment the keyboard is in a big white void. Is there a benefit to doing this? Does this help to recreate the lighting a photographer might achieve with their shots? Or does it prevent the shots from having their white balance completely blown out by a single light, since the objects would be reflecting an infinite white void back at viewer. Just something I noticed that made me curious, since oftentimes details like that can have a significant impact on the final product.
it's really impressive, thank u

That transform individual centers option is very interesting I wonder if such an option exists not only in the timeline editor but also for object editing and editing vertices and faces on an object like say you have multiple objects selected and you want to rotate each of the objects all with one operation but you want the objects to rotate about their own centers?

Hey, just an FYI, Patent Law doesn't work that way. All Patent information is public knowledge. The entire Patent System is designed as a means to share information with the public. You can develop, make, and make use of, any patent personally. If you iterate well enough, you can even file for a new Patent that covers your iteration of someone else's Patent. There's absolutely no legal reason you couldn't share the Patent for that keyboard as long as you are not profiting from the manufacture or sale of the same keyboard.
😮 This video is an instant classic

Great tips! How does modeling factor into you time on the projects and pricing? I have done some 3D in the past but I am not sure how fast of a modeler you have to be for a freelance Motion Designer doing product assignments. I am trying figure out what direction to go in.

This process should really make fans of chainsaw man understand just how amazing what they created is. That is a masterpiece not just in the amazing sound frames and the color pop and the character movement is seamless and unique I can only imagine how many of these frames has so far gone into one piece could you imagine over 1000 episodes 25 minutes long I mean it's a lot of filler but one piece is in my experience responsible for cartoon audio effects since the 90s

🚀 Absolutely mind-blowing tutorial! The way you've simplified these seemingly complex product animations is genius. I never thought creating such stunning shots could be broken down into such manageable steps. 🎬✨ I especially love the technique of using collection instances in shot three - it's a game-changer for efficiency without compromising quality. The attention to detail in explaining the graph editor tricks is pure gold for aspiring animators like me. 💡 Quick question: Have you tried applying these techniques to different product animations, or is there a specific project where you found these methods exceptionally effective? Would love to hear more about your experiences with this workflow!
