Even though one publication (CR) disses my hybrid truck, I love my '22 F150 Powerboost Lariat 502A. The mpg this truck can achieve is insane. 437HP and 570lb/ft of torque is nothing to sneeze at. You can either hypermile this truck or drive it like you stole it, it's a rocket at stoplights. A few recalls that were handled easily and efficiently by my dealership and no reliability/QC issues. I've cross shopped other trucks like the Tundra and I feel confident the fit and finish on my F150 is better than the new Tundra. The pro power on board power system is such a game changer when we dry camp with our RV. Idling in electric mode with either the a/c or heater on is so nice, like in stop and go traffic, drive thrus etc. Love it!

The higher resale value of Hybrids really surprised me. Makes sense to buy one.

It is kind of surprising that the resale value is so strong considering you're buying a grenade that has the pin pulled already... Somebody is going to have to replace that battery for 5-20k, will it be you?

Last year my daughter bought a 2014 Camry hybrid with 188K miles on the odo. I did some research before she purchased it and determined that the cost of replacing the big battery would take about 3-4 years to recover using the increased mileage over the non-hybrid version. Everything else about the car is in great shape, so I have no reason to believe replacing the battery if necessary would still be worth it. The car currently has about 203K miles on it and is operating just fine. My brother has owned some high-mileage Prius' and a hybrid Camry over the years, so we did have some good information regarding the reliability of the Toyota hybrid system prior to making the purchase of the Camry.

There is nothing on the cheap cars list that I would buy. Where is Toyota and Honda. They need to bring back the Yaris and the Fit.

The Honda Fit is such an amazing vehicle. It’s such a perfect urban hauler. We legit renovate our front yard’s landscape with this vehicle. We transported rocks, pebbles, trees, plants, and a brand new toilet for our bathroom. I even put a 27” mountain bike without taking any of the wheels off! They need to bring the Honda Fit back! Everything fits in the Honda Fit!

@@TheColorIsTan I agree. I happen to own a Honda fit. The back seat is surprizingly spacious, and with the seat folded up I can fit tall items ( like an portable AC ) in the upright position. Plus, with the seat folded flat my wife and I can put all of our camping supplies with the dog and her supplies as well.
