she's not. She lacks the elegance and storytelling to be a prima. She is a mechanical dancer.

@@JustBeingAwesome She is 16 years old and still very young, she has many years to learn and improve, I don't think the original commenter meant that she's going to be a prima this year or anywhere in near future.

Melanie is always a joy to watch. She lights up when she dances. So mesmerising ❤

Her lightness. Precision, joyfulness, alacrity, those arms!! (Did somebody mention turns? 😉😆) And she makes it all seem so utterly effortless, like she's just popping down the shops! She's truly a special talent :-)

The years of absolute dedication of all ballet dancers proves their hearts are captivated by the art. Never ever ceases to amaze me. Have watched the little ones starting out and they are all very serious and committed and self disciplined. Amazing.

If I’m not mistaken from watching her on a channel of the ballet school she attends she started out very late in her life

The solo is flawlessly performed, showcasing clean technique and an incredible fouetté. A star is born-congratulations Melanie.

@boots4845 it can be misleading to people who are not familiar with ballet, to put 1st place in the title. It can imply this was her 1st place performance, no need to insult someone's reading comprehension.

She is one of the reasons I started watching ballet videos. I've never had anything to do with ballet before other than getting inspiration from ballet related stretching routines. She deserves this!

Ballerinas have this amazing gift of looking so graceful and beautiful whilst doing some of the hardest sport, Melanie is absolutely gorgeous in this
