I studied class 1 to 12 in Hindi Medium govt school.. We didn't have facilities like our fellow private school students but we were happy back then... Our parent didn't had that much money. Sometimes we didn't have money to buy basic things like stationery, School dress, Shoes, Books. Bags. We had to use one school bags for atleast 5 years But We never complained about anything to our parents... Now i am a govt employee.

Yessss same here .! I studied nursery till 8th in a really good private school but had to transfer cause my school was too far . I thought govt school would be really bad , other than washrooms and the classrooms not having AC , the rest is good . The students are really good in studies ,and the curriculum was good too although ofcourse it was easier for me coming from a private school with difficult exams . So i topped .😂😂😂😂 took part in mental maths , competitions and etc too.

I have done my 11th and 12th from Govt. School...and this duration of my schooling was my best time...I enjoyed a lot...my pvt school time was so boring and pathetic...stupid elites trying to put down each other with venomous smiles... Govt school taught me how to be strong, enjoy life and respect each other...I learnt swimming there...I was a part of school cricket and volleyball team...even our Govt school teachers were so well educated and sensible, so better than my pvt school teachers...I miss those days...I regret not to be the part of Govt school from the beginning...for me real schooling was in Govt school....Proud to be the part of Sarvodaya bal Vidyalaya, Rajgarh Colony, Delhi

To all the fellows commenting. Let me tell you something, my govt school was one of the famous cbse boards school. I completed my 10th from a private school. In 11th when i came to the government school, first i thought it was nice. Teachers were cooperative, but at the covid time school remains closed most of the time. But in 12th they show their true colors, our chemistry teacher was on a leave for 4 months, without any substitute, Physics teacher was made the principal of another school, washroom conditions were worst, 2 months we spend without principal, but the new principal came out to be a gem, he literally did some development. And yes wehn the chem teacher arrived, he used to complete one chapter in one day. No self assessment test in the school, no PT period, all the lectures were free, English wali mam to 4 din me ek baar aati thi, wo bhi 20 minute late, class me aake bolti thi ki tumne bulaya kyu nahi? Aur agar tumne IIt nikali hai to wo is wajah se kyuki tumne external tuitions ya coaching li thi, govt school ke teachers se padhke to baccha paas bhi nahi ho paata, Government should pay some attention on it

C'mon man majority of population of late 90s studied in govt school but the condition of 20s govt school I think is familiar to everyone.

I have experience of govt., private and also added school but best time was in govt. only...today at the age of 23 i am german language trainer , pursuing my 2nd masters degree and also working as a teacher in a university.

I think most of the non-English medium govt. school students have his/her story. I went to study in a govt. college in HS from a govt. school. For the first time in my life I heard people communicating in English among themselves (of course among those from the English medium schools). I gradually discovered that being a village boy and having no internet connection, at least, I was a indeed a toad of a well. Having good command over English indeed gives one wing to fly high. Currently pursuing my PhD in theoretical physics. My supervisor still finds numerous errors in my writing, however, while speaking in some occasion or party the communication goes well. If one has an urge of learning English, and continues his/her endeavor, it is hard to figure out someone from his conversation whether he/she is from an English medium background or not. Most of the professors in IITs, IIMs, JNU, perhaps went to schools of their respective mother tongues. Still, their writings as well their verbal communication do not appear have deficiency of fluency.
