    as a white working class guy who read Adrian Mole's diary and is about your age (38) I can honesty say you nailed it and taught me a lot. And showed how growing up as a teenager is a bloody minefield regardless of faith or culture. It was such an educational and hilarious book and the loveliness of your big family shone through. have sent a link to it to some friends. this is one I'll re-read Tez.
