@@SkyEagleAviation It truly was an honor and pleasure, I would do again in a heartbeat. On a Mid-watch in Japan with my good buddy we shared dreams. I said, “I want to get my sailing and pilot license.” I got my sailing and my buddy beat me to my pilot license. I just finished Weather and Chapter 1 videos but I’m tossed between the Apple Private Pilot you recommended or the Jeppesen Private Pilot Kit Part 61, on Amazon for $224.95.

Scott -just sayin hello from Germany and i love the way you enjoy teaching. This is for sure my first youtube comment. In the world where we cant stand a video more than a few minutes, you made me sit for an hour and 40 minutes on the edge of my seat going through chapter 2. Who knew, you could make how engines work seem interesting and get the thought - ohhhh so thaaaats how an engine works. Look forward to seeing your other vids - and yes I wonder what happened to chapter 2, section B - was it not uploaded on purpose?

An example of moisture in the pitot tube is the B-2A ( 89-127 ) crash in Guam. Would coincide greatly with being located in Florida, high moisture. And how even a multi billion $$ bomber that can protrude the deadliest air spaces was brought down due to it.

How much does it cost to become a pilot? I’m actually watching these videos in order to understand how to play Microsoft FS 2020 better because you practically have to be a pilot to use it! Love flying and thank you for the free lessons!!

You can do all the studying for the written exam on your own. There is no requirement that you attend a ground school. Test all the concepts they mention in FS. Practice communication, crosswind landings, short takeoffs and everything else. Then, go get in the plane. I got my licsense after 44 hours in the airplane and it cost me less than $7,000. Call it 9,000 given today's fuel prices. Many flight instructors want to get you in the air before you know anything at all, which is a massive waste of your time and money.

You do not need to be pilot to understand how to use Microsoft flight simulator. I am currently in Private Pilot ground school and have little to no experience in real airplanes. The sim is pretty easy to use but I would say my ground class has been helping me a bit however anyone can takeoff and land a plane in the sim .In real life its a different ball game.

There is a published table for cold temperature corrections. There's no adjustment available on any altimeters, you must simply hold over a certain amount given your altitude and temperature (the altimeter MUST be kept at the local altimeter settings per the regs). This is all for IFR flight though and comes with many restrictions and requirements, as you may not be able to see the ground and avoid it using our eyes. For VFR flight, I don't know of a requirement to correct for cold temperatures.

@@HelloMyNamesNino Yes. Because as the presenter / instructor you're supposed to be situationally aware of who your students will be and adjust your content accordingly. That doesn't mean he needs to learn Russian. But it DOES mean he should slow down; and be more aware of the limitations in the content due to language differences.
