BTW great video, really cleared things for me but i didnt understand the part about getting multiple private keys from the seed phrase. if there is a one to one mapping of private key and address where you rcv the money, then somehow should i get a new address everytime i ask it to give me an address to rcv funds? i have never seen a wallet issue a different address everytime i ask it to generate a rcv address for a specific token. its the same address each time. Also if i can generate multiple private keys from the seed phrase, how does recovery always gets you the correct private key to access the wallet when you try and perform recovery on a wallet where you lost your password or private key.

BTW the very best security is a biometric Cold Storage wallet that never touches the internet, If you lose it, your seed phrase should be stored in the vault in the bank. Treat your seed phrase just like cash. If it's worth a lot to you keep it in a vault in the bank. And only use cold storage wallets like Ledger or trezor or biometric based like ITbiometrics is building.

And if we had one seed phrase with multiple addresses if we import the seed phrase all wallets will be imported and if we use the private key only that specific wallet will be imported?

I think the Ellipal Titan has a flaw or something. I create an account WITHOUT a pass phrase. Load coins. Delete the account. Use the seed to recreate an account but WITH a pass phrase the coins are there. Vise verse. If I create one WITH a phrase, fund it, delete it, recreate it WITHOUT the pass phrase the coins are there. I think it’s not properly creating my keys. I’m a newbie so I could miss understand the Pass Phrase. You have any thoughts?

Sounds to me like the seed phrase creates different private keys so backup your seed phrase & NOT ONLINE OR accessible device. Write it down exactly as it appears then put it in a safe place like a "safe". The thing is we should also remember it because the wallet will ask for it. Wonder how memorizing things are now with all these gadgets do it for us.

The seed phrase is the important thing , save it as hard copy never copy paste it in your pc and dont save it as txt file ... take pen and paper and write it down twice ! ! ! save one copy at your house and one at your grandmother's house :) now you are all safe and done

I’m confused … is f your wallet address what you use every time you receive funds… how are you not suppose to use it more than once??

Can you elaborate on how a hardware wallet makes multiple private keys? I can't find any info on this and I don't really understand how it works. Aren't the addresses and private keys directly linked? Doesn't bitcoin "belong" to a single private key? There seems to be something fundamental that I don't understand.

@@onlyme436 Yeah, so your wallet's seed phrases are essentially a map that picks out private keys. When you make a transaction, the seed phrase is referenced to check any number of private keys for a balance, then it aggregates them into a single transaction.

When you said 100,000 bitcoin is practically nothing I had to pause the video and check the date of this video.
