Prison Is Lauren Daigle’s Favorite Place To Perform
Grammy-winning Christian music artist Lauren Daigle (@laurendaiglemusic) performed recently at Eddie Warrior Correctional Center (EWCC) in Oklahoma to an elated crowd of over 300 women eager to hear the Hold On to Me singer.
As Daigle told the staff and residents in attendance, not only was it her pleasure to be there; on stage at prisons is where she most likes to be.
“You know what a holy roar sounds like,” Daigle said. “People always ask me, where’s your favorite place to perform? And I always say, places you’d never know-prison.”
The event was an overwhelming encouragement to those in attendance, filling the prison gym with songs of worship and celebration. From Hold On to Me to Be Okay, Daigle’s songs served as anthems of assurance that the God who made each one there loved them and would fight their battles for them.
Taking place just before the Christmas season was in full swing, Daigle’s time of worship and Scripture readings left the residents encouraged, hopeful, and with an abundance of cheer in their hearts.

An amazing day of hope and faith!
I see a lot of ppl criticize Lauren Daigle because she isn't "Christian enough" or some kind of imposter. I don't know what she personally believes but the fact that she is playing for ppl in prison shows that she is doing precisely what Christ has asked of us all. Amen.

Lauren I was the one that was at your Tulsa concert that said we had the same I am so glad you went and sang to these ladies I used to work there, I saw so many face I remember God fearing Women, they may be in prison but they can be saved thank you for your words and your kindness to them they need to know there is goodness in this world to come back to when they come home
Lauren is humble. She dressed casual and kept it special just for these lovely ladies.

@@TJD6419it's about redemption. We have ALL made bad choices. Sin is sin. It doesn't matter if you steal a candy bar or a car. God's desire is for all to be redeemed. He loves everyone of those ladies. He calls them lovely. And as an imitator of Christ, we should see them as Christ sees them. They are hurting and need someone to show them God's love. God calls you lovely too.

AREN'T you glad that GOD doesn't treat us the way our so called "fellow man" treats us. Lauren is making a difference and if the people who are pointing fingers would use their fingers for love instead of trying to find fault, they wouldn't have time to point.
