Even if red loctited in place, there is nothing in the design which may keep them from rotating around the fastening bolt if they get kicked from either front direction or the rear. They should be designed to embrace the mountig bracket in a proper way to prevent them from swiveling around if any force other than top down is applied on them.

Those peg mounts and pegs are boss. It's great to see someone manufacturing the old, pebbled Anderson foot pegs. I wish someone would start making some replica gator boots that fit K models and early Sportsters. Even better, make them out of material that doesn't weather check and crack over time. The original style gator boots which are currently available are foreign-made scrap. Thanks.

Never, never, never use red Loctite on a bike. Even manufacturers have started dismissing it. There is absolutely nothing on a bike that requires anything more than the blue. Red is overkill times a 100.

My factory service manual on my 2013 Blackline said to use red loctite in a few places... A small amount of red is better than globing blue on IMO.

@@the_Wingading You don't glob on the blue. Do you torque to specs?? If, so then there is no need for a loctite. If you just gotta, use a little blue.

Not sure what bikes your referring to but my shovel bodes well with red . Torque specs are for cases, cylinders and heads . Everything else on a frame mount shovel will rattle loose. Primitive is as primitive does ..keep the American iron on the roads boys !!
