I was born a Muslim in Iraq. I was worried and depressed, sitting and looking at the Tigris River in my city.Jesus' face appeared to me in the water and told me. "Son, you're not alone" And now I'm a Christian, and I pray every day at the edge of the river.Thank you Jesus for this grace. I'm not alone right now. Jesus is with me.

Lord, sometimes I feel stuck and helpless. Whether my sin leads me into muddy waters, or those who oppose me throw me in, I look to You for my rescue. Keep me from drowning in my circumstances, and reach out Your hand to return me to the safety and sure footing of Your solid rock. In Jesus’ name, amen.

I am at that time of my life where i feel like i don`t know if i can go on; but what keeps me going is the TRUTH THAT WE STAND UNDER. He is still in control and i know he has programed my life in such a way that after this season he will be praised, souls will be won when they hear my story and some people`s faith will be lifted

Wow! I felt that “breaking the chain” analogy. Completely applicable to my life and impactful. I feel I’m on the threshold of reviving every area of my life including a move. Pause time feels necessary. Beautiful you have each other as siblings. I don’t. My parents are in heaven and my brothers are MIA. Yet God has been my constant companion and Father. Such a beautiful witnessing. 🙏♥️🙏💙 Thank you!

I love this "See the Value in Seasons of Waiting". I'm originally from Ohio, but decided to move to Indiana. The move was suppost to be a good move with wanting to be close to a significant other. And of course I wanted a change of scenery. Now that I am here, the season had changed with me and my significant other dating for a year and a half to now I'm single again smh. This really challenged my faith, and my mental. I felt lost, discouraged, and a failure. So I started to think If I should go back home. To a home that I'm familiar with or do I stay put and Let God align my steps. I have an awesome job and great coworkers that I have build relationships with. I have no outside friends YET! So I just wanted to say thank you Anthony Evans for helping me to realize that God is not done with me yet and maybe there is something else God has for me that is better. So I decided to stay here in Indiana and Let God order my steps and just go with the flow and Let go of the old season. God is working it out for my good. I'm so glad I listened and found this segment today. God bless you and your family.

Wow, this is soo timely and I can identify with everything he has said. I have seen christians just continue functioning in their postions in the church and they have soo much clutter to be cleared. It is soo sad. After so many years, serving Christ I had to bring myself to accept certain truths about me. Yes, you know the word but life had me in a place and in a space. I am now coming out and sometimes we just to hear things from different people and it hits us. It is ok to have mental health issues as a Christian and it is " perfectly okay". All we have to do is accept it and get the help we need. Jist step out. You know, sometimes we just dont have the right people to go to. This is my problem and i am trying to work that out. If we just align ourselves with the right help...we can be revived!

I was so so glad that you both touched upon mental health. The church unfortunately is so rigid sometimes to understand there are different dynamics to emotional and relational growth. Just like we need teachers in the classroom and doctors in the hospital, we also need therapy if we’re struggling emotionally in areas we need support in especially when it’s backed up with Scripture. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Loved this. Please have more conversations 🙌🏽😆

Oh do I have a story on the mental health front. We had a guest pastor at our church years ago come in and speak on spiritual affliction of the body. He asked members to shout out bodily afflictions that they have faced. I mentioned depression, as it is a health issue of the head and heart and many ways, and one from which I suffered with post-partum depression. He looked at me like I had two heads! A PASTOR! I felt so small. There I was in the body admitting my affliction, and I felt like a complete fool cause leadership did not see it as a bodily affliction, when I can tell you personally it impacted nearly every part of my body. Yes, the church has come a long way, and I hope pastors and teachers have or are repenting for how they have treated people with depression, anxiety, etc.
