Solid content! Exactly what I was searching for, this was super detailed and helpful

I am going to use the crap out of this video in the coming days to get my own stuff set up. It's always been a dream of mine to own my own clothing brand, and even if it doesn't make me any money, being able to have my own custom brand clothes is just so cool to me. This tutorial is AWESOME and so helpful for me to get everything planned out, since I work a VERY Full-Time job :) I may not be much, but I am Ambitious, and I have quite the hard head, so I am going to push forward as hard as I can to make this stuff work. And tbh, with how low the recurring costs are, If I sell 2-3 pieces per month I can infinitely sustain the business basically for free! And if the business fails, I can close it down and start again easily enough, or better yet, NEVER QUIT and just get better alongside my business! I plan to, someday, have this scale to the point that I can integrate my own in-house apparel custom made to my own preferences. Possibly as limited stock runs, I WILL have my own custom and PERFECTED underwear so help me. Again, I can't thank you enough for this video, this is EXACTLY what I was looking for to get the info I needed to get started in this journey, without all the trial and error that could have prolonged this for so much longer than it needs to be. Honestly, I am SO HYPE that I will soon be able to have my own clothing. Here's hoping I can have the business off the ground by the beginning of Autumn! (I gotta wait for the product to come in and test it first, and handle lots on the backend as you have shown and a bit more even since this is gonna be REAL)

I agree. Who does the sales tax reporting? Can I trademark the logo or design? Do I need to register in multiple states, countries, or other jurisdictions? If I am actually selling worldwide, do I have other laws that I must follow?

The websites explain it all. You also need to use two other websites to check if slogans are free copyrighted.

What Shopify apps do you suggest for a POD store with large inventory and a on-site blog? My goal is 2 shops, my first one is going to have tons of designs in a specific niche. I'm talking Thousands (I'm not over doing it, it' necessary for this type of niche). So I need apps that allow the customer to Search and just look through specific categories rather than just like a left side panel of categories (Which the store will also have). And then there's the power of a Blog. I plan on using blogging about the subject related to this niche, Instagram, Pinterest, Tiktok and KZread shorts to push traffic to the site at the same time. I'm aware that this is a lot of work and a lot going from not knowing a platform to generating sales on it.

Thank you, you explain it all very clearly. Although I am more towards creating a store with WP for POD. Maybe you guys can create a tutorial for how to create an online store with WP as well? :) Like using a Divi theme for example. Is it possible to sync it with Printful?

I'm not sure the reason for not allowing fatter folks to buy hoodies. I think I'd leave the XL sizes personally. They already have enough trouble finding good stuff so I would absolutely want to include them and allow them to wear my art as well. I've been specifically asked to make sure those are available and I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't want to sell to everyone? Other than that, this is fantastic and has really helped me get my store set up. I'm almost done tweaking things!

All things are made for the average person. Doors, cars, shoes etc FIRST. Over time, people decided to cater to much larger and much smaller folks than the average. We now have big and tall in the same stores as the average, extra small in the same store OR full stores just dedicated to bigger folks. Why do companies do this? because sometimes cost is an issue. Margins are decided by small % sometimes so the cost of an Large to X-Large may or may not be worth it for a company, OR the cost from XL to XXL or XXXL which does exist. I've seen as high as XXXXXL at places like Burlington coat factors. So not only is it material cost, it's weighing the options. Let's say your market has 10 million consumers in it, how many of them are XL, XXL or XXXL? maybe 1.5 million out of 10 million, that's not a big amount as almost over 90% of the market fits your clothing, is it worth cost wise to include the 1.5 million? Manufacturers also charge in Bulk orders per size for physical businesses. So if you wanted to buy x amount of XXXL garments, if the amount is not enough, you will have to spend even more just to meet the demand to get lower pricing or even order in the first place. Now, to your exact point about XL, I think XL should be on by default. Why? XL is much more common than everything after that. It's like size 11-12 shoes for men. The average is 10.5 for men, but 12 is much more common than it use to be, so cutting out size 12 leaves many consumers out. But cutting out size 13 or 14 only leaves a few consumers out. I'm an XL hoodie wearer whether I'm fit or overweight because I'm a 6ft tall guy with broad shoulders. Large is tight on me regardless if I'm slimmer or bigger. At the moment I'm bigger, 264 lbs, but when I was 190 I still wore XL and I was 16 years old at that weight.

@@drjonesey5 This is a reasonable answer. Detailed, impartial, not rude at all which is rare on the internet. So thank you for taking the time to write that out. I think I'm going to keep the bigger sizes in my shop though because it's important to me to be inclusive. I'm here for that as I'm visually impaired and we are often marginalized when web designs are considered. So it's personally important to me to offer to as many as I can. As long as I can figure out how to do it. Right now the biggest I have is 3X which probably would fit most people, but I do want to make sure that our chonky folks can get my art if they'd like. So I'll have to wait for feedback to see if I do need bigger. Again, thank you for typing that up.

If someone purchases something from my store. Doesn’t Shopify or Printful take money out of my account? So essentially I need a lot more money than what’s being explained? If I am incorrect please explain.

Is there a specific reason store owners don't just go ahead and select all sizes(T's, hoodies etc.) available when choosing a product to sell? Does it cost money to add each size? Or do you just assume no one that large will buy based on certain criteria? I'd think adding every size would be a great advantage. I seen another POD seller and in her tutorial she added the 2x but then left off the 3x, 4x sizes as well. Thanks! Oh, and thanks very much for taking the time to make this video. Also, for payment setup, if a customer needs to pay for an item with PayPal, Amex, or a Pre-Paid debit card will I need to accept all those forms of payments and does that mean personally owning accounts with them? I thought the same thing. Why not? Chunky folk have hard enough times finding things they like that are awesome. I see absolutely no reason not to allow t hem to wear my art (I know a famous fashion company or two have specifically barred fat people from wearing their stuff - or even just plus size like me lol and got into trouble). So honestly, it's not my job to decide what size someone needs to be. I'm going to let you wear my art around no matter what medical condition you have, mental condition, or just straight up like food... whatever. You can wear my art
