Not necessarily , pero dapat nagbabayad sila ng property tax from rental income ng Sabah bukod sa property tax from Sulo. Walang dahilang upang hindi tulungan ng government of the Philippines ang mga sultanate. Malaking negligence ng mga Aquinos sa pamamahala di lang ng Pilipinas pati na rin sa mga sultanate at ibang islands. Si Ninoy ang nagtaksil sa plano ni Marcos na kunin uli ang Sabah!

Karamihan ng mga moro people ayaw na nila ibalik sa mga Kiram family ang Sabah kasi kapag naisaoli sa Kiram clan ang Sabah ibibigay ng mga Kiram ang sabah Pilipinas. Mga puppet yan ng goberno kaya mas mabute pa sa Malaysia muna ang caretaker ng Sabah saka na kukunin ng mga Moro kapag Independent State na ang Sulu.

The saddest thing about the Philippines is that we don't have enough strength to assert our own rights in the international arena. When Malaysia pays rent it is an admission that they know they are only renters and those to whom they give the payment are the owners. Malaysia doesn't have much ground if this is resolved according to principles of law. But then again power and politics also comes to play.

It is not "rent", it is "cession money". "Cession" by definition is "the formal giving up of rights, property, or territory by a state". And in the "cession agreement" which was written in classical Malay, in "jawi" script (arabic letters), there was a phrase "selama-lamannya" which meant "forever, in perpetuity, or until the end of time". It meant that the territory had been given up by the sulu sultanate forever, in perpetuity, or until the end of time.

That's why Philippines needs to be able to manufacture its own digital and electronics : cellphone, radio, TV, laptop; one or two brands of car. Drilling equipments to be used not only in Philippines but also in other countries. ( It's a good occupation.) Invent few weapons: 3 kinds of guns, 2 kinds of tanks , etc., for defense and policing the surroundings.

Sabah has no freaking relations to the philippines. the issue of Sabah are just between The Federation of Malaysia, Sabah and The Sultanate of Sulu. not The Philippines. The Philippines should give Sulu independence. not claiming over Sabah as Philippines's territory.

The real issue here probably the real royal house of Sulu Sultanate, if they really exist is to proclaimed the independence of their sultanate territories which comprises of Mindanao from Philippines Govt. This the issue which goes against the majority of Christian Catholic Philippines wishes to kept predominantly Muslim's Mindanao as integral part of their territory. That the reason why the real heirs n clans of Sulu Sultanate kept a low profile, as a matter of security. The existence of factitious group proclaims as the true heirs n making false, absurd n uncorroborated claims over territory of Malaysia are an effort to camouflaged the real issue here.

are you sure you're sabahan. lol i'm preety sure you aren't. most Sabahan wanted to be in Malaysia or demand to leave the federation of Malaysia. they rather keep their malaysian passport or have a brand new sabahan passport than change it to filipinos passport. the philippines better take a good care of their people first. there are alot of filipinos who still struggle in life. they dont even have a food to eat, a place to take shelter. hence the "advanced" Philippines has the most poor network connection is ASEAN. sabahan is somehow grateful to be malaysian.

As Muslim we are still holding true to the spirit of 1878 Agreement. "When there is still Moon and Star these territories shall be with the transferee ' until end of time. Being the successor in title Malaysia shall have Sabah. Please see the Moon and Star on the Malaysia Flag. Jacel wanted to baptize Sabah. Is Sabah better with Malaysia or is Mindanao better with Philippine. Both territories were ceded / leased /sold you may call it whatever. The bottom line is your family have none.

If anyone has no word of honor regarding any issues, may it be based on historical or legal claims, it will remain futile. Waging war could be the last resort or simply give it up. Can we bargain with Malaysia over this issues? People of the Philippines can altogether pray to God with one voice for guidance, understanding and healing of the dispute...

No Royal Army can stop an idea whose time has come, i.e. feudalism should give way to modernism, monarchy should give way to democracy, and militancy should give way to peace. The tide of time will drown the Sultan and his Royal Army.

for malaysian side that is his opinion or interpretation&how about the side of us we Filipinos? there is no other way to solve this old problem, i'm calling&begging you brothers&sisters Filipinos,Moro Filipinos&to our beloved President Duterte the answer or solution of all of this is we will go to War with malaysia to fight what is ours&our rights as Filipinos for a better future of our next generation&for our Mother Land.

I knew this story from my missing unknown relatives who hail the south and serve in the government civil and military service. The late President Marcos tried to retake possession after The British government failed to return after their lease. I firmly believe its time to claim what is rightfully ours.

We are very much concern on acquiring back SABAH and yet we have not help those Pilipino being discriminated and deprive of proper education, work and dignity while struggling to live and survive in a very hostile environment for being not MALAYSIAN. HELP our fellow Pilipino first so that they will instill into their minds that they have not been forgotten in Sabah. Its now 2019 and yet the Philippine government are not keen enough in helping and keeping them safe in Sabah. Hope that this time, Pres. Duterte will heed their calling.
