Joey Essex is very likable. I don't know if he's actually as thick as he puts on, but I've never seen him be disrespectful or rude to anyone before. He likes to have a good time and doesn't take himself too seriously, you can't hate him for that.

Joey is very nice but he is actually thick- because I don't think he did good in his school life as his mum died which affected his childhood and education, I feel so sorry for him.

He basically dropped out of school at age 5, so he is “as thick as he puts on”. But I agree, he’s never been disrespectful or hurtful towards anyone. Seems like a very nice guy.
