The very iconic words that must be enshrined, "I declare before you all that my whole life, whether it be long or short, shall be devoted to your service..."

I can imagine how proud King George VI would've been after hearing this speech from his daughter. This iconic speech etched its place in my heart as soon as I heard it. No leader of ANY time or anywhere of this world gave a speech that is SO memorable that it does not require memorizing. Her Majesty The Queen is simply dearly beloved in our hearts and I still miss her. She kept her word to her dying day, which raised her above all monarchs who abdicated for whatever reasons.

Her actual accent is not quite as suffocating as when actresses try to imitate her. It sounds natural. Only bluffers sound like they are trying too hard. She sounded like someone I would like to have as a friend.

21 years old... yes I wish I was 21 again.. the changes I would make. Elizabeth had SO much internal strength if nothing else.. she had to. I didn't even know this video was made until I was searching for her '57 Christmas speech because of Netflix's "The Crown"

And she was never supposed to take on that role because her uncle was the King, not her father. But when Edward VIII abdicated, Elizabeth's father, George VI ascended to the throne and at age 10, Elizabeth realised that she would one day become the Queen. WOW. What a thing to accept at ten years of age!! Then she became the Queen when she was 25. Again, wow, that's a very young age to become the King or Queen. Both Elizabeth I and Elizabeth II were AMAZING women. They had the most incredible strength, intelligence and resilience.

She said in this very speech that she cannot do it alone. In her own words she said she will need your help. Have you done your part for your community, nation, and world? This woman humbled herself in front of the entire empire and asked God for the strength to stay true to her vows and devotions. Have you asked God the same?

They boost the morale of their subjects by helping the soldiers in any way possible, in war effort against the Axis power. Despite the enemy bombed part of the palace during the Blitz, the reigning monarch never left the country, he remained there with his peoples. other members of the royal family helped in serving the wounded and the sick during the war, directly or indirectly. Even the late Queen Elizabeth II used to serve in the British military, making her the only female royal family to actually served during the war.
