Don.t worry about Armed Forces using a foreign march . Here in Chile. The Army Academy march with Radetzky March, wearing prussian uniform. The Naval Academy march with Nibelung March, wearing british uniforms. However, in a Tattoo we also include USMARINE an USNAVY march. Few days ago, I saw video where a parade in other country include the 100% chilean made march...LOS VIEJOS ESTANDARTES (translated as THE OLD BANNERS).

Did anyone else notice that the band played the US Marine Corps Hymm, or 'Anchors Away' of the US Navy? Pretty much all of the music other than the service songs were written by US Marine John Phillip Sosa, and of note that the poster of the video is the Dutch Press Photo Agency.

This has to be a soundtrack over play. There is no way! No way a monarchy would allow the band to play all American marching song. Especially when the princess went through the trouble to pledge an oath in 3 languages and none of them in English 😂😂😂😂😂

It's the Belgians, not the Dutch. Look at the troop flag, its the tricolore in black, yellow, and red. Listen to the new lieutenant taking her oath in three different languages, flemish, french, and german. Her name is HRH Princesse Elisabeth etc., Prinzessin von Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha, Princesse héritière des Belges, etc. The Dutch have no princess named Elisabeth and the Belgians never had a fleet of any importance.

1) The best solution would be to write it in Latin, the lingua franca of Europe. 2) You seem to know next to nothing about bilingualism. Why should it be in just ONE language?? What a stupid idea! All national events in Belgium are bilingual (Dutch and French), sometimes even trilingual (Dutch, French and German) 3) "Flemish" is not a language, it's a dialect. I assume you mean Dutch, one of the three official language of the kingdom.

Anchors away is not a naval hymn it’s a fight song written in 1906 for the football team. It like many military songs is synonymous with service pride. I have seen the navy’s of US, Germany, UK, Japan, now Belgium play Anchors Away! Very well done! Our naval hymn Eternal Father was written by an Anglican Minister in the UK. A lot of countries use it. The music of John Phillip Sousa is universal!
