That has always been my complaint. She was a sheltered and inexperienced teenager when she met and became engaged to Charles. Both he and Camilla were in their early 30s and adults. Charles treated Diana like their marriage was something awful that happened to him and both he and Camilla were deliberately cruel to her. She did not deserve it. She could never resign herself to marriage with a man who refused to love her.

Still miss our true Queen Diana forever missed and loved

If this story is true, this is a typical move of someone with borderline personality disorder. You will most often see the disorder in young women from broken troubled childhoods. It must have been a nightmare for Charles too as those with the disorder are very manipulative, excellent at projecting a false mask to the outside world, and possess a level of neediness that can never be met even by a loving partner. So combined with Charles, an emotional needy person himself it was a disaster. They should have let him marry Camilla from the start. A tragic story indeed.

She started this book with another writer. When that writer refused to print that because she said “it is not in your favor to say you did anything to purposely hurt your child, especially when he is also the heir to the throne. So she sent the same tapes to Andrew Morton who published it. And it did NOT go down well. She tried many many times later to retract that and say she would have never harmed her child, but her own words said she did. She never had any forethought. And it got her killed.. no thought about the ramifications of not wearing a seatbelt, with a drunk driver at the wheel, speeding. Had any of those things been thought through she would have realized how incredibly stupid it was… but it killed her before she had the chance.

If he gave her some love and attention she would have never done that. If camila was in the place of diana he would not even leave the house, he would stick to her. Poor diana 😭

Her drunk driver and lack of seatbelt. And her own paranoia where she denied keeping her royal security - and liked tipping off the paparazzi to where she would be and then cry that she was so intruded upon. That’s what happens when you marry a child; especially when neither of them really wanted to get married. Charles should have been allowed to marry Camilla as he wanted from the start and none of this would still be going around. She’s been dead longer than half these commenters have been alive. Also, people seem to forget that interview where she admits to having her own affairs (plural) and how in love she was with guy who was giving them “horseback lessons”. And even as a child she was not any kind gentle flower.. ask her stepmother she pushed down the staircase and who she spent years terrorizing. She was not mentally stable enough to do the JOB part. Her younger son has sadly gotten many many of these traits. Thank God William was born first. All they need is another mad king and his consort to run up massive debts with designers and jewelers all over the land for the citizens to eventually end up footing the bill for (though Queen Elizabeth did use her own money and not the commonwealth’s to pay off the massive debts left by her mother when she died). Basically she wanted some stupid romance novel and marriage just isn’t that way. Reality hit her right in the face before she’d be able to legally drink alcohol in the USA. With all the issues she already came with it’s no wonder it ended like it did. But she and Charles had been separated since 1992 and divorced in 1996. And her first move was to drop over 100 patronages that the Queen never had any intention of taking away. Diana also announced before they agreed that she would just be Diana, the Princess of Wales… when the Queen had every intention of her keeping her HRH as mother of the future king despite the divorce. And lord I could keep going but read some books, there are many many detailing all of this.

On the other hand, PDi was wrong for trying to kill not only herself but the unborn PWilliam! Thank goodness, PWilliam wasn’t harmed!!! What type of proper mom would do that to the future king?! She confided in all of you, you talked to her on the phone, went out with her, talked with her real friends…oops I’m sorry you’re all confusing yourselves with people who actually knew her beyond her public persona. But while you’re on this, you must consider how there are always two sides to every story, two sides to every coin. It has been widely reported how selfless, caring, kind and genuine she was. If you do more research you can see how deeply cared about children, her aids charities and all of her other hundreds of charities. She also openly talked about how on return from her royal engagements she was always scolded if she made a mistake but when she did good was never complimented on all the times she did a wonderful job in representing the royal family. It’s not fair to judge someone in the way all of you are when you never even met the individual person let alone knew/interacted with them on a daily basis. Let the woman rest in peace.

Diana didn't get her own way after throwing herself down the stairs. The 'then' Prince Charles still went out to play polo as he originally planned. This was in the biography of Diana by Lady Colin Campbell.

The marriage was a disaster from the get-go. Charles was so alarmed by Diana’s bulimia and mental state that he spent half his honeymoon aboard Britannia calling doctors and therapists. Diana refused all attempts to get her treatment. She could’ve killed William by throwing herself down the stairs…by the grace of God, he was OK. But there’s no way that William has not discovered that his mother was willing to possibly kill him just to score points against his father. Diana should’ve been forcibly committed for mental health treatment after this incident. She never was which is why she continued to get worse and worse.

You should never give in to a person's demands when they scream suicide and/or attempt it, because you're conditioning them to know that's how they can get their way every time. I know because my mother has literally done that my entire life and it's no way to live. Diana's suicide attempt wasn't even a real attempt considering the chances of her actually killing herself in that manner are low but unfortunately the chances of her harming her unborn baby were high. Charles shouldn't have let her get to that dark of a place to begin with and his selfish actions were awful towards her. All she wanted was attention and to feel loved which was the opposite of what she married.

She slept with her security officers, her son’s horseback trainer, a heart surgeon. This saint Diana shit is so old. People don’t take the time to learn about her whole life before making comments about what a precious flower she was. She did plenty of her own damage to that marriage. And admits so in the interview she did with the BBC. (Also, she didn’t think he was sleeping with Camilla. She thought he wanted her gone for the nanny.. Tiggy. To the point she didn’t want her sons to see her anymore though both invited her to their weddings.) Charles went back to the woman he should have married when he finally couldn’t handle Diana’s mood swings. Diana had her own affairs whenever Charles was away. She was human. She wasn’t a saint. And she only did the interview because she wanted Charles back 😂😂 It spectacularly backfired when she was then ordered to divorce by the Queen. Her bad decisions dug her grave. She was very much a grown adult when she jumped into that car with a drunk driver and no seatbelt to the paparazzi (and why run from them, she’d been pictured with Dodi all over France, including the famous yacht photos… with Dodi, who had his fiancee stashed away inside the cabin.) Zero of these things are a secret. When Charles was out she kept pursing a heart surgeon she was “in love” with who finally just told her she had to go. Because she was also “in love” with her security officer, and the horseback trainer, and several others. She never closed her bedroom door it sounded like.. Even if she had not died.. she wouldn’t be married to Charles anymore regardless. She was not ever going to be the queen consort. That super dark eyeliner to make her look sad was a great manipulative move. Someone else copied that same approach to cry her own sob story a few years ago but I forget her name. She didn’t last as a royal either.

Charles tramatic childhood shaped him. He thought everyone lived in castles. His father, Prince Phillip, sent him to a school called Gordinson,.which Charles was repeatedly bullied. His father ran around on Queen Elizabeth II numerous times. He was left alone by nannies a lot. He was told to have affairs with married women because they would have as much to lose as he did if the affairs were made public. His Uncle Louis told him to have as many affairs as he wanted and then settle down with a "NICE" girl. He became a very spoiled person, who was accustom to being in the limelight. He treated people beneath himself and only thought about himself. His mom and dad left him alone for long amounts of time while they traveled rhe world for The Crown. His grandmother, The Queen Mother, was the only one who showed him any attention. He was so messed up with women by the time he married Diana that he thought he could treat her badly too.
