​​@@Stephanie-zd5im It was arranged marriage and they only met 13 times before their wedding. according to Diana herself, when Charles started seeing her, she acted as if she had the same interest as him(reading, fishing, stalking,country life, environment, history, architecture etc...) but in real she find all those things boring. Charles thought they should take it slowly and start with activities they both enjoy ( reading and fishing). Charles genuinely thought that Diana liked all those things.

We visited the Britannia, near Edinburgh, a few years ago. It was amazing to be on the ship, were the Queen and Lady Diana spent a lot of time. And to go the same ways and touch some things they had touched like the telephone on the sun chair deck.

Its a royal yacht

I was stationed with the US Navy in San Diego in Aug of 1981..The morning news told that the royal couple would be stopping at the area known then as Shelter Island..it was very high security and was a submarine base on the water side. Anyway, I just happened to live about a block away from Cabrillo National Monument at what was called Sunset Cliffs. Long story short, I was able to walk over from my apartment to a high point overlooking the inlet there and watched HRY Brittania make her way to port there. Pretty amazing..I always have wondered if Diana saw me up there by myself waving a welcome...

@@annedavis6090 from what I have read of their honeymoon they were in the Med, all the time, The British press followed them as much as they could and they cruised the Greek Islands and visited the Sadats in Egypt. I can remember some of it, in the news where the British were trying to keep their cameras on them all through the honeymoon. For them to go to San Diego would be thousands of miles out of their way across the Atlantic.. not exactly honeymoon sailing. I cant see why they would go all the way to San Diego.....

Turns out this was the beginning of the nightmare marriage!! There were 3 on this honeymoon, a bit crowded!!

Sure made it appear like all was great love story when all a farce. Set up by many, including her grandmother. She deserved to be loved, even a lonely sad honeymoon wow. She said something with the speech coach interview about him and sex every three weeks or something, not quite figured that out as to her, every 3 weeks doesn't even fit hitting ovulation. I don't doubt he did have his people figure out conception best times so not be bothered otherwise, just make the heir and spare. Question is though, as I know you love who you love as to camilla, story for another time, but Diana was the essence of gorgeous, a model, long legs, beautiful, fun loving, and he wanted to look at the Rottweiler instead ugh. I do love Diana's name for her so fitting! Woof woof

Wrong I'm afraid. Prince Phillip did not pressure Charles. His father's letter asked him either to propose to Diana or end the relationship for the sake of her reputation. It did not instruct him to propose. He made that choice but he could have easily chosen a bride from among the Princesses and noble families of Europe - women with some understanding of what this royal match would be, and not a teenager propelled by a romantic dream. He could also have remained a batchelor with his old squeeze on the side. Does he have autistic tendencies perhaps. He does seem to be locked within his own needs without understanding both the needs of others, and that those needs are equally as valid as his own.

I have written similar replies to many videos. ~~~~~ Some things you may or may not know: • between 1973 and 1980 Charles had dated over 30 potential brides, including Diana's sister Sarah, trying to find a bride that met the royal family marriage criteria. He proposed to two and was turned down. They were running out of options to find a bride that met the royal family marriage criteria. Diana met the criteria. Charles dated other women, saw Camilla and had another mistress. His intimate relationship with Camilla was off and on but their friendship was always the core of their relationship. ~~~~~~ In my opinion not too many young women in the 1970s wanted to make a life time commitment to performing royal duties until their death and be in the public spotlight constantly. Plus, one article I read said trying to find a virgin was like trying to find a mermaid. ~~~~~~ •According to Diana, she believed Charles was faithful to her until 1986. She said the marriage was at it's best just before Harry was born. She said she knew something changed and she believed Charles had rekindled his intimate relationship with Camilla in 1986. This is consistent with the 1994 interview when Charles stupidly said his marriage was beyond repair by 1986 and that's when he resumed his romantic relationship with Camilla. However Charles was willing to end the intimate side of their relationship but never willing to end his friendship with Camilla. They have known each other since 1970. Camilla is Charles best friend and provides the emotional support Charles needs. Diana was very jealous of their friendship and often accused him of cheating when he wasn't. ~~~~~~ Diana was in love with her bodyguard, Barry Mannakee, 1985/1986. He was there, probably provided the attention she craved. They were spending a lot of time alone together. In 1992 Diana said Barry Mannakee was the love of her life and they talked about running away. They were not very discreet. I read about the honeymoon. They spent 14 days on the royal yacht in the Mediterranean near Greece and then went to Balmoral castle in the Scottish country side. Diana was overwhelmed from the wedding and the media attention, she spent a lot of time binge eating and purging multiple times a day during the honeymoon. Charles had expected a relaxing vacation to get to know each other, he brought books to read and his art supplies. Diana had expected his full attention, she expected him to be her fantasy prince charming of her dreams. Charles is not prince charming. He's stoic, a workaholic, and extremely loyal to the royal family. He often works from breakfast until late at night 7 days a week. ~~~~• Diana knew it was an arranged marriage, she knew Charles didn't love her, she had unrealistic expectations and was disappointed. She became angry. Charles is a known artist. He had painted, she was so angry she destroyed his art work and tossed out his art supplies. She hated the cruise, the Scottish country side, and his books. The honeymoon was a disaster. ~~~~~ Bulimia is a physical and mental self destructive illness. It is difficult to live with someone who is bulimic. They are often moody. ~~~~~• Diana and Charles didn't have any common interests. He was highly educated. She did poorly in school and dropped out of school at age 16. One of the things Charles and Camilla would do is discuss the books they were reading.

BS. In a recent interview, to contradict Harry’s accusations, one of Camilla’s dear friends, BoJo’s ex-girlfriend gushed about how wonderful Camilla is and could barely spell the word ´scheming’. Diana was a gifted pianist, dancer and conversationalist who was demeaned and trivialised during the whole marriage. She became a strong woman of action who was taken during her prime. Too good and too complex for Charles to understand. Now the RF just attempt to emulate Diana’s behaviours.
