I may be wrong, but I think most parents would be concerned about the enormous age gap between their child and prospective spouse. I can sympathize with someone in their sixties having a shoulder injury, which is the situation I have right now. I have rotary cuff tears, and some days (especially if it is raining) it can be pretty miserable. He could have been reluctant to travel under the circumstances. I do, however, think Lady Kitty's gowns were stunning. She is as beautiful as Princess Diana.

Kitty was not short of her close family. Her husband also had his 3 adult children who Kitty gets on well with. So it was a very happy Wedding. I wish the Happy Couple all the best.

Well on his third wife, and she is quite younger than he is, he really had a certain influence in that way. This probably will not be her only marriage, but she can give her new, old husband, that spring in his step, as he shows off how virile he is, creating a child or two with this beautiful young sexy woman. Good old 16th century British aristocrats. Never changes.

It wouldn’t be surprising if there’s been a breakdown in the relationship, they have a history of it in the family after all, he was not speaking to his sister Diana, at the time of her death either.

I’ve read the Spencer family have a long history of infighting and vindictiveness. Ghosting (previously referred to as going No Speak) is also a favorite family tactic. I believe Diana wasn’t speaking to several people at the time of her death including her mother and Sarah Ferguson.

True. She had to support her father who was very tall, carry her giant bouquet, manoeuvre her giant skirt and sleeves while wearing a tiara and a veil. She had just turned 20 years old 4 weeks before that day. She was amazing for being so young and it was such a huge state event. They would have been celebrating their 40th anniversary in a few days if the fairytale had worked out in the long term.

Earl Spencer has a history of being abusive to women, including his EX wife. He was hard on Princess Diana when she asked to stay in a house or cottage on the 13,000 acres Althorp estate where she grew up that he has taken over after their father died. She didn't ask to stay in the main family home where he lived. She just wanted to have more privacy from the press and he refused to let her stay on the estate, so there were hard feelings between them that were never resolved before she died. He also promised at her funeral that he and the Spencer family - Prince William and Prince Harry's "BLOOD family" as he called it - would be there for the boys after Diana died; but he wasn't. He took off for South Africa. How many times has Earl Spencer been married? It seems to be three times, at least. Well, his daughters are gorgeous. Best wishes to the bride!

Not buying the "shoulder injury" excuse. Earl Spencer posted nothing about his daughter's wedding on his Instagram page, which he posts to daily. I wouldn't call Charles Spencer, "much loved". He's known to be an arrogant, jerk. He also turned his back on Diana, the summer she died. She asked him if she could please stay at Althorp for the summer and he said, No.

My Parents always wished the Best for Me. For one reason or another we couldn't come. My Father when he was alive. RIP He loved people a lot. A lot of people used to traveled over there. Where my Dear Dad was working. After Traveled for a long time to see my Families again. My Father shared with me, that he was able to spend his time on Vacation. He worked so hard. @red❤dawn Thank you Dawn. Princess Diana WAS very successful and good. Don’t know why Harry turned out like he has. My only explanation is he really isn’t Charle’s son and resents it. His anger, bitterness, revenge is unexplainable. Of course, the wife he married doesn’t help him one bit but uses her infinite evil ambition to antagonize and benefit from his discontentment. I don’t know. How could Harry be cursed with “that man’s” genes, unless he psychologically hates him. I understand he fought off that possibility of jest and jeering from students growing up.

I listen to Lady C quite a lot, and she has said that the Spencer clan is particularly unpleasant bunch, as for the shoulder injury, it just seems another convenient get out clause for this sanctimonious prat. I remember that it was he who turned his back on Diana and her request to return to Althorpe, but ever since has blamed everybody but himself for her demise.

Diana’s father manage to walk her down the aisle from his recent stroke attack. For Charles It’s just an excuse for the many eyeballs and rolls for his many extra marital affairs and blatant infidelities . Good that Kitty’s mum rubbing it in his face. He’s a bona fide sleaze bag the husband is only 5 yrs apart and a father figure she must have missed and needed. (We can get our minds out the gutter) it’s debatable and plausible deniability.

I seem to recall that this man refused to give his sister shelter after the divorce and the tabloid chases. Then he had the nerve to speak at her funeral, telling the BRs that they were the reason for her death.

Congratulations to them, style elegance and talent attracts like. If one of them were to prove to be a narcissist behaving badly, then we might have reason to judge.

All I’ve got in response is that first white dress with the flowers on the train was Breathtaking and AMAZING! And her wedding gown at the end was beautiful. She made a gorgeous bride. I wish her happiness.
