It would help if palace issues ed a statement requesting respect for their privacy and parliament too. This was not a public function. Of course repot an injury understandable . But rest leave a lone. The King has not once stepped up to the plate regarding his families private Live. All he had to do was issue a polite request. Media or some would have backed off. So in part this is Kings and government s fault. Media like Meg and Harry getting away with anything. I’m talking about trashing rag media not decent journalists such as Neil. I would not be one bit surprised oh Anne’s husband fuming right now. And King should be bawled out for at least issuing a statement about privacy. At least he would have tried. The Royals eat 100% Organic - all grown at Highgrove or on other Crown Estates - including game (& that's not a bad thing) Most Hospital food here is horrendous & if I was there I'd hope that my Family would bring me decent food. Home comforts are everything!🙏🏻🇬🇧

I know that every time I have been in hospital my family has brought me some of my favourite food/snacks to cheer me up. It is nothing against hospital food, it is about lifting my spirits as I prefer my food made in a certain way with certain ingredients/substitutions. And I am not royal at all.

Yes most people I know who have been hospitalised have a bit of what they fancy/prefer brought in for them. No problem.

Princess Anne is a wise woman. I pack food for my loved ones when they are in hospital. It's easier for everyone.

a relative was recently in hospital in Germany. I'd have thought the food would be OK there but it was so unsuitable for her post-op condition I brought in all her food. Seems that was normal/expected!.

I nearly starved last time I was in hospital, they couldn't get the diet right and it was getting dangerous. Lucky I had family to bring in suitable food.

When will the media get the hint that the British public love and appreciate the Princess Royal ? We do not want to read snide and sneering digs being aimed at her, particularly while the despicable duo in California are given a free pass for their treacherous and cruel behaviour.

Princess Anne is still wearing outfits from decades ago. She remains slim and fit, so keeping her own diet under control.is surely paying off. May she have a successful recovery!

I'm a nurse and it's a proven fact that people who have home-cooked food brought to them by family inspires a good appetite and faster healing. I am assuming that Gatcomb Park has a chef on staff. They know the dietary and food preferences of their employers and create nutritious meals. Home cooked meals will definitely cheer up Princess Anne.

I'm from the US and Princess Anne has always been my favorite royal. The press really has to reach to find something to pick at her about, don't they? I'd like to see some of them keep up with her schedule and see how long they would last.

Yes it's been a tradition in my family too. Especially usefulif the patient has no appetite, family members know what will tempt their loved one. Maybe her grandchildren made her a cake or something of that nature. I've got an idea, if the media have nothing else to speculate on why don't they engage themselves in some really, really good journalism.......start with African Parks or where are the Markle children. Or we could explore the fact that whilst the queen was alive and Charles was the heir, it was actually William who was the spare. Harry was never the spare and when George was born harry was bumped down to forth inline. Further reinforcing that the d*ckhead was never the spare. But you the media can keep feeding his victim narrative. Much easier to pick apart a thoroughly good woman than do anything meaningful. Just a thought

Picnics? When my husband was in hospital for surgery one family brought a whole crockpot of food and had it plugged in in a waiting room for them to "snack on". The smell permeated the whole corridor.

Why shouldn't the Princess Royal spurn hospital food? Anybody who could, would. And it's much better than putting excessive demands on the hospital staff.

I have such high respect and admiration for the Royal Princess Anne. She works incredibly hard and no fuss or accolades. She has such a great sense of humor. And she is truly her mother’s daughter!

Here is wishing Princess Anne a speedy recovery. She is good at comebacks. I love cool bags/insulated bags. It is her right to eat what she likes if the doctor approves.

People who maintain their weight over decades tend to eat to live. They don't live to eat. I bet Princess Ann' blood pressure and cholesterol are excellent too.

You can always trust journos to harp on something nonsentical like the Princess Royal preferring her own food, like most of us do. My husband was bringing me my mum's food when I stayed in the hospital after giving birth. I actually started cooking with my mum's best friend's guidance over the phone when mum ended up in hospital so I could bring home made food to her. I was 19 at the time and only baked a couple of cakes before that.

Princess Anne is more than deserving of being as difficult as she wants to be. She is my favourite Royal. I cannot imagine her being difficult, but I absolutely would allow her to be if she feels like it. Besides, if you have ever eaten hospital food, you would get it. I was in hospital for around 13 weeks after an accident and had family bring in my food that was less 'stodgy'. It didn't make the newspaper, though! Best wishes to Princess Royal, KCIII, QCamilla, P&POW and everyone helping them through this glitch.

She needs to rest . She’s getting up there in age and IMO has done a very well job .

You are what you eat. Nothing wrong with being in control of what goes in your body. I don't eat processed food, fast food and rarely eat out because you really don't have any control the ingredients. Too much junk in today's diets
