Always a pleasure to get steady opinions on the state of play. I have to say that rapprochement between the Prince of Wales, King Charles, and Harry is a huge call. Harry has crossed the bridge, had a tantrum, hurled petrol all over it and set it alight while howling abuse over the flames. Complete knob. He can’t walk that back, and I envisage anyone in their right might will be offering less and less for the sake of “status”, of which he has none. 🇦🇺 Australia remembers that tour.

I love how Richard and Rebecca can disagree and maintain their respctfulness for each other, and without disrupting one another. I really enjoy their commentary.

Sadly that montage made me miss the great Queen Elizabeth II, and I am American. She was always so amazing I have loved her since I was about 4 years old in 1960.

As an American I cannot see it from British eyes, but common decency says Harry's behavior is horrendous. He needs counseling to deal with his anger problems and since he chose a live away from rhe public eye, he should stay there. Camilla truly has made Charles happy and they do fit together if what is published is true. Their faces have a comfortable together look about them. I enjoyed the bathroom tiles story too

The Coronation is a State event paid for by Parliament. King Charles does not have full say over the guest list or the Ceremony itself

Me : “I’m not a royalist”. Also me: Watches every episode of Palace Confidential, because I love the drama of it all. 😅

They can't fit 8000 guests into 2000 seats🙄. The Palace did ask if Westminster Abbey could accommodate more guests & they were told no - due to health & safety regulations (they didn't seem to bother about those things in 1953). Something had to give - perhaps if they exclude all politicians they might free up a good few seats😉🇬🇧

i question whether KC is being ill advised or ignoring advice. it doesn't matter how many years go by, the core of people and feelings and personality remain the same. The queen has tried different things over the years and realised that it hasn't worked. there does need to be some mystery attached to the monarchy, as well as humility , compassion and public service. LOYALTY includes being loyal to their own peers and ensuring that they feel 'cared for' .. if they feel cared for they will be more inclined to offer their support.

Back in 1953 for Queen Elizabeth's coronation they built what equated to a football stadium inside of Westminster Abbey to seat an extra 6,000 guests - the Abbey seats 2,000. King Charles is aware and thoughtful of expenditure - having stated on many occasion's that he wants to slim down the monarchy. Everyone can celebrate the Coronation of King Charles, just not everyone can be in the Abbey.

It would be hard to believe that Charles would be naive enough to talk to Harry by telephone. Harry would record the conversation.

Okay Richard...if they are sticking to only those that have a role, as it is not a family event but a state occasion.....why on earth is Harry coming? Queen Elizabeth had the good sense to quietly exclude her uncle from her coronation, her coronation program and all other state occasions and just let him live quietly in obscurity. She was a wise woman, even back then. I think we'll have to see on the day - but the updates we're getting don't instill confidence in the stateliness of the ceremony. I do wish you journalists would stop with the whimsical predictions of 'the start of reconciliation' etc. Both the King and the Prince of Wales need to stay a very long arm's length from Harry, allow him to simply fall into irrelevancy. Any family conversations for healing are likely many years in the future.

I think her mother had a lot to do with that... and wisely so. I am sure the other members of the RF did their best to exclude H and hopefully, he will feel so ostracized that he will refuse to use his Titles etc... Or that now that KC is being formally crowned that the LOS will be revised so that #1, the royal representative will be there for the birth, or DNA will be required from the people involved and 2, that women including Princess Anne and her children will be included in the LOS... If Haz ever is in the position to assume the thrown that he and his children will be refused by parliament like his great uncle Eddie was refused...

​@@marybusch6182 you have got so many things wrong. 1) Princess Anne has always been in the line of succession. The late Queen in 2012, revised a letters patent that female children to be before younger siblings. At the moment only the British government can take titles away and it has to be passed by parliament first. Henry will never be on the throne.

Richard is correct about William avoiding that child Harry. Harry felt OK selling his book and doing Netflix plus Oprah. He seems to think he can be so awful to his family but be treated as a VIP in social situations. How dare he!

@@floswason8776 I'm sorry, flo, but if you had someone coming into your family causing all sorts of damage and disunity, I'd very much doubt you'd be the pom-pom waving cheerleader for them in the way that you've evidently become for Harry & Meghan. I'd encourage you to trust what you see: with a single glance you can easily distinguish health from pathology. Drop the propaganda narratives and simply trust that discernment you utilize in your own life every single day.

I am Australian and I just love the pomp and ceremony .. I wish Australia had something like it. I just love visiting the Palace and Westminster bridge is a favourite of mine. I believe that all the pomp and ceremony is what brings a lot of visitors, thus bring money into the UK. If it all went flat and the RF become the man next door it will lose a lot of interest. Yes it has magnificent country side and so much more, however I believe the RF is what a lot want to see. As for the discord in the family All families have some sort of upset. However I am very sad to see Prince Harry turn out this way. He was always my favourite but now I see him in a different light and it is not very nice. As for Meghan... what can I say? Nothing nice so I will leave it at that.

Sad that Lady Pamela was not invited to see her third Coronation as her late Father was once so close to King Charles. A little shocked about the Dukes who were not invited. People who have earned merit also deserve a seat there. Perhaps the King thinned the number of attendees out too much. Richard, you are a treasure!

As some of us keep saying, you can't fit 8000 guests into 2000 seats. It's not KC's fault that we have such strict health & safety laws in this country. I'm sure he'd love to squeeze more people in. And, the Government has a say in who must be invited from overseas countries. It really is a logistical nightmare for all concerned😏🇬🇧

Even though they have been close, it is all broken now and beyond repair. From my own experience I can tell that certain very serious issues between siblings, who before went through a lot of trauma together and were always in full support of one another, which effect trust and mutual understanding will result in a permanently broken bond. A polite handshake, cold kiss on the cheeks is all that's is left and even that is already a huge effort. The less you see one another, the better. There even comes a point you do not thnk about each other any longer. So King Charles should therefor be very careful not to push Harry into the familily's and also William's lap again, just because he himself misses the former Harry so much. That Harry is history, he has changed beyond repair, and William is next to being hurt truly disgusted with Harry (and Meghan too). The brothers both have their own lives now, they should be left alone and in peace with a huge distance between them so they both can flourish instead of being pulled back into this nasty swamp with negative emotions Harry has created.

The “A” team today, love it when Rebecca & Richard join the conversation, also I always look forward to your montages at the close, thank you!

As a foreigner, I'm a bit disappointed that this coronation won't have the pomp and circumstance of previous ceremonies which the British do so incredibly well. It's an event we rarely see and part of history. The way they have been whittling away the aristocracy just shows that UK will eventually join the rest of the ordinary countries and abolish the monarchy. I love history and it saddens me because monarchy (and the aristocracy) is living history and tied to all the palaces and castles of United Kingdom. It's a shame the monarchy is dying out and reduced to just a handful of working royals now.

I can just imagine how difficult this guest list must be! I can remember my wedding guest list was a nightmare. 😂😂😂

We’re not even that far into King Charles reign and I’m like 🤨 between how he is dealing with this Harry nonsense and leaving out loyal supporters

It's a shame Lady Pamela isn't going to be there.

I love tuning into the broadcast to see who will inform and delight us today. Never disappointed. The interviews go from strength to strength. Richard is certainly dreamy, and very cute when he gets stroppy. And I wouldn’t let my husband do the bathroom tiles either. Rebecca wins on that one. I do think dropping the Dukes and hereditary lines is a big mistake, which William should rectify and balance. Otherwise, we’ll be left with neither baby nor bath water.

Great episode!!!! So glad we are back to Jo hosting with Richard and Rebecca as guests!!! You three have a great dynamic and provide the most compelling, analytical and intelligent royal commentary out of anyone who has been on the show by far!!

Thé three are so witty, classy and calm. There’s one guest who comes on occasionally whom I don’t care for because she’s loud, brash and has an irritating voice. I think her name is Tessa.

Why was Harry invited to a state occasion? Churchill stopped the Duke of Windsor coming to Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation. We don’t have anyone with his strngth of character any more.

Sadly. One thing BP needs to do going forward, is to stop covering up the bad or even illegal behaviour, of the royals. Why would cameras be on Harry at all!? There are too many other loved, more portant, actual members of the working royals to train their cameras on than Harry!!! Harry is not relevant to anything nor a part of anything worth much except what is in his own mind!! Harry gave up his chance to be relevant especially within the RF!!!!

He is very brave to face his family alone to protect his wife from being hurt by his family. Great husband. His attendance showing his respect and loves his father.

I find it much more difficult to forgive people who have caused pain to those I love, rather than anyone who has offended or wronged me. I can fully understand how difficult it would be for William to overlook behaviours that have insulted and upset his nearest and dearest.

Prince William and his family should avoid H&M like plague not only at coronation but forever
