I'm a philosophy grad student and I listen to this while writing papers. Vegeta's philosophy-- his pride in doing things in his own way-- is actually an ancient idea going back to the Romans. Some Roman philosophers believed that part of living a good life and doing the right thing, was making sure your actions were consistent with your unique personality. They called this "constantia"--"consistency" in English. Sure, Goku may be the best. He may be born for being the strongest. But Vegeta is the most consistent character in the show. He does things in his own way, and sometimes living up to the virtues of your own character is more important than living in accordance with some ideal, in the way that Goku does. Goku is The Ideal Fighter, but Vegeta is the most ideal version of himself. He has constantia. He is consistent. "In my own way. On my own terms."

We are emotional of our roots we are emotional about our species. Most humans go mad with anger at the sight of another creature trespassing on our domain . The idea that another creature thinks itself higher than us. The idea that another creature thinks it can dispatch the life from us so easily. Its hard wired to piss us off. Its how we end the threat and the group survives. We have exterminated species before and we would do it again for the survival of our race. Prince vegeta is like the ego of man kind. You're right about vegeta's philosophy but wrong about Goku's. Goku's philosophy isn't that there will always be someone stronger so you gotta keep getting stronger . His philosophy is simply that - "I wanna see how strong I can get, and keep getting stronger my whole life." Facing stronger opponents excites him as that portrays that there are still new heights to reach, and a long way to go.

He took his legacy for granted until he met goku and worked his ass off to keep up. Vegeta failed time and time again, and never gave up. Even if he's losing he doesn't quit. Vegeta is just so motivational, most of the people I know seems to have thing handed to them on a silver plater. Some give up and say it is what it is. More people should strive to be more like Vegeta and make a change.

This made me shed a tear, Vegeta is a character like no other.

Pure motivation, Vegeta was bound by his own standards powered by self belief and only accepted judgment from himself. Sometimes it’s better to believe you’re the best than to actually be the best. You’re unstoppable if you truly believe you cannot be stopped.

I can honestly say watching videos like this or thinking of it while I go for max effort lifts helps me focus my strength or unlocks it I always get the chills and yes every now and then a tear sheds thinking of all the hard work I put in and people I’ve lost idk why I feel like I need to be in that mental space but it works for me. Growing up on DBZ it was a dream and story that I only witnessed through Japanese story telling that was an original story and passion I grew to love as a child. I am an adult in his 30's and the shows still give me the same passion but it's when I see fan created highlight reals such as this telling Vegeta's story that really inspire me. DBZ is truly a show that bonds me to many other friends and fans who grew up watching the show. Thank you so much for this highlight video. Brings the spark out as if watching for the first time as a kid long ago.

The thing is when you get older, you find yourself in some situations and get to understand Vegeta, so he is such an inspiring character to me, mindset wise alone, i wish i could be as strong as him 💪 keep pushing Prince Vegeta 💪

At first, I preferred the first cut because that was the one I saw first and the 2nd cut just felt weird. Then I got to the 2nd cut's ending monologue... Hoooooly shit. My goosebumps had goosebumps.

I'm nearly 24 years old, don't know that much about anime as a whole let alone Dragonball Z but this has motivated me to watch it! Great edit!
