I’m 35 and I love his song and he died in 1985 and his wife Missy Teka was the best Guitarist in the world

Awesome video. Reminds me of my Mum and Dad. They would tell stories, when Prince Tui Teka would play at the Ellerslie Oaks Pub, in Auckland. Where my Parents both worked. His Charisma, Jokes, just Tui Tekas, Persona. Just a Lovely man, My Mum would say. A kind man, with a Big Heart. He touched alot of True Kiwi New Zealanders, with his Music, and His Lovely voice.

Prince was a regular at the Mayfair Hotel in Hastings, such an entertainer and the crowds were always a friendly mix of Maori's and Pakeha's

I was born in Rotarua but raised in Qld most of my life and my uncle Allen use to listen to prince all the time and told me we were related to prince tui tea and when I knew he passed away I actually wrote a letter on xmas eve to him and asked him to send me a barbie for Christmas lol don't know why I use to think he was my maori Santa Claus..i was 6years old..till this day I still remember his beautiful voice..thank you for the barbie hehe and the great memories I have of my uncle..xoxo

Wen I was a young fella I went with my mum and dad out for dinner and I remember prince tui Teka performing it was so cool back in the early 80s out in otahuhu loved it miss you our maori ❤️

I remember going to see him at the Manawatu Hotel in Foxton back in 1976 - I was so in love with his music. He was the best !!!!

Bit young for the pub in 76 but was my first year at the college there

I only ever saw him three times in person, but each time was a grear experience and what fun he was.

When I was young my grandpa always listen to Prince Tui Teka's music,My favourite song is,,, Oh Mum I Loved. all the way from Samoa...

I am always drawn back to the man of jandals....arohamai Tui and Missy, both together again singing it up for the whanau above!

the late Billy t james used to do billy conolly type monologues about his time on the sydney club circuit with Tui and boy oh boy youd be rolling around laughing,preferably with empty bladder .Ive a 2cd set of tui&co in concert in my truck and on long trips it gets hammered!
