This is great. They are playing late 70's Fusion when it began to envolve into a smooth jazz sound style. It's less Weather Report and more Herbie Hancock's Headhunters post 1973, Bob James, Spyro Gyra, and the vibe of CTI Records thrown in. It shows that they had their ears on the pulse of what was going on at the time. One can hear the rhythms that Prince would musically stretch out later on. Amazing!
