4:08 is absolutely incredible. You can see Alex’s face go from ‘I shouldn’t have asked that question so casually’ to ‘it’s not going to have a happy answer’ to ‘I really hope I haven’t hurt him by asking it’ all in a couple seconds. And when he reaches out to comfort Henry, it’s not simply ‘I’m sorry about what happened with your dad’ but also ‘I’m sorry I made you think about that again.’ Ever since I first noticed it, it’s become one of my favourite little moments in the entire film. It’s so subtle, but so powerful. Taylor did a phenomenal job there.

I agree with others re the off-the-charts acting: the looks, the timing & pauses, the tender touches, the seemingly intimate exchanges (verbal & non). All so well done & convincing.

I love this movie!!! I have watched it 4 times in 1 day and I cannot stop. The book and the movie are great. The chemistry between Nick and Taylor is off the charts!!! I laughed, I cried. Everytime I watch it I see more details and nuances that I missed. The love making scene was perfection!!! Never seen anything like that before. ❤️ I have now seen it 25 times, I am not kidding! This film captured my heart and made my life immeasurably better 🥰 The chemistry between the actors and characters and how they portrayed passion to love is so beautiful! Please Amazon we need an extended edition/directors cut with the hour's worth of deleted scenes put back in. If the two released are anything to go by then the film, which is already incredible will be phenomenal!

They need to redo this with same cast and make it a series. At least 12 episodes and more stuff from the book. ❤

They have the most amazing chemistry, Matthew Lopez was so right to choose them to star together. 🥰😍 I hope this gets a blu-ray/4K UHD release with extras and a commentary and all the deleted scenes.
