So am I and if my husband was awarded it he would say thank you but there are more deserving guys in the army than me. He's told me so many times how some of the army guys were saved because there senior officer ran through flames to rescue one guy.

Stop romanticising about Harry doing tours, he was there for weeks not months, 24/7 protection, too stupid to pass his flying exam..he does F All for Invictus, it's turned into his wife's fashion show. What has he achieved in sport, nothing!!! He doesn't deserve the award, and he's not an American!

Markus Rashord received the award and he´s not American. Harry did 2 complete tours in Afghanistan (easy to check). British military must be banch of idiots. They allowed unlicened pilot to fly their precious Apache helicpter which costs 33 mil.pounds. In an actual war! Seriously? I am a retired nurse practitioner who used to work at a Veteran Affairs medical hospital. Many former co-workers are veterans themselves, and they are more worthy of this award than he. They risked their lives to serve our country. After discharge and despite their injuries, physical and/or mental, they continue to serve their country by helping their fellow veterans by working or volunteering at the VA hospitals. Many of them form additional groups, including sporting ones to offer additional support. They're not getting paid one cent for the additional work. They're not doing it for the fame or glory. They did it because their military family members needed them. When you talk about hard work or mental health or loyalty or honor, you look and listen to these true heroes and not Parking Lot Fraud and Prince Hazbeen. It is because these veterans, we Americans enjoy many freedom, including the freedom of speech. What did Hazbeen do other than try to muffle the our voices and spread lies or uses his late mother to make an extra buck. I am disgusted.

Thank you. 🇺🇸 I’m not sure the award stipulates it has to go to an American. But it does stipulate it should go to someone who achieved in sports and a real Veteran who served. We know that Harry had a 24/7 team of body guards keeping him safe and away from the action. Pat Tillman didn’t have that luxury. No real Veteran does. We have heard many stories about Harry’s supposed “service” of being protected and playing video games. It’s well known that Harry didn’t “found” Invictus. It was modeled on the American Warrior Games and developed in a joint venture of multiple Royals in the Royal Foundation and the Ministry of Defense. The Prince of Wales donated his 7- figure court winnings to Invictus. It seems the antithesis of heroism not to give credit to others. Most patrons donate their time and money. It’s not what we’ve seen with this ex-working prince who allegedly expects payment and luxuries from Invictus. For all the times we fall short in the U.S., I believe we strongly value striving for ideals such as loyalty and honor beyond the self. I do not see evidence of that ideal or conduct in Harry’s public actions. The fact Harry opposed the Gold Star Mother and insisted he deserved her son’s reflected glory tells me all I need to know about Harry’s “heroism.” Thank you for your kind words. Pat Tillman is an exemplar of selfless service here. I believe Pat Tillman’s heroism will shine forever, certainly long after any pretender to that heroism seeks to stand in its reflected light. Why isn’t a real Wounded Warrior athlete from any country receiving the recognition? It seems to me that Harry has no understanding of service beyond the self! It’s been terribly upsetting. Thank you. I get so tired of PR saying that he did. It is well known that Invictus was modeled on the American Warrior Games and that Harry didn’t do that all by himself. The Royal Foundation did, including the Prince and Princess of Wales. Then patronage of it was given to Harry. But real patrons *donate* their time and money. Harry turned it into a vehicle for himself and his wife, all kinds of fees and luxuries for them. IMO Harry in no way deserves this award. Show me *any* real Veteran who seeks to be singled out. Real heroes stand for qualities beyond the self. Harry doesn’t appear to know how to do that, my opinion.

Sir Keith Mills (London Olympics and Paralympics) led the coalition that founded Invictus. They used the US Wounded Warriors as their paradigm, which in turn was based on the Paralympics. Along with Mills' team, there was a Palace team of Royal Foundation staff led by William POW and Catherine POW, and an MOD team. After Invictus was created, Harry was brought in as Patron.

Then, Sir Keith Mills, who had organized the London Olympic Games, was pressured to step up and organize the Invictus Games. Harry did none of the work.

I think there will be a backlash against him in the U.S. He won’t understand it because from evidence I’ve seen already, he doesn’t have a shred of a clue about what’s supposed to be celebrated. This Award to Bunker H is an insult to Pat Tillman and his Mother. Bunker Harry certainly does not deserve this Award, did Bunker H and PR Team pay for this Award as it seems the Sussex’s alleged buy Awards to make them look good and feel better. As both Sussex’s are untrustworthy, cannot believe what they say. H did not Pass his tests for Helicopter Licence, he failed a few times, never received his Helicopter Licence. It’s all lies. H also had 6-8 Gurkhas Security protecting him 24/7, he was quickly taken off Base when there was going to be Drugs and Alcohol testing so Harry wouldn’t be tested. When on leave there were many reports of H being very abusive to females, he was with allegedly! some reported H to the Police in Afghanistan and the Base. Some females were paid hush money to keep quiet allegedly. Bunker H was never on front lines fighting. He was well looked after while in Afghanistan his tent where he slept he had all things to make himself comfortable, even cooling system/ Air Con because of some of his equipment he had using to keep cool. Playing his Video War Games, most likely pretending he was on front lines fighting killing the other side. Media needs to check really how long bunker Harry was overseas in Afghanistan etc, How many weeks altogether, he was not there over a year or years. Bunker Harry was what the guys called him, because he was in his Bunker playing his games not fighting on front lines. H should be removed from Invictus it’s became a charity for H and MM high life style. Check out how much the Sussex’s take out from Invictus for their Private Jets, luxury accommodations, all of MM clothes, jewellery, staff, dining out, wine, H clothes etc, etc, why should Invictus be paying for this the charity should be helping the Veterans and their family! They have to find the money to pay for their own travelling certainly not by Private Jets or high class accommodations. Allegedly. Shame on giving the Award to Harry who does not deserve it!

I believe Pat Tillman’s real heroism will shine brightly forever no matter who tries to grab its reflected light. But it’s been upsetting to watch this (imo) debacle. I would have had some respect for Harry if he declined the award. He seems so puffed up with his own self-importance, his eyes can’t squeeze out of his self-regard enough to see reality! My opinions.

I often think Harry is so puffed up with his perceived self-importance that there’s no space for his eyes to squeeze through to see reality!!

Harry was never a pilot , he failed his pilot exams /tests THREE times , he can’t fly ,except as a passenger ,or a gunner . The aviation award was a farce , he didn’t deserve that any more than he deserves the Pat Tillman award . And he didn’t set up Invictus , that was a joint effort with the then Prince Charles ,William and Catherine , with a million pound donation from William , we never hear Harry mention that , I wonder what it was used for . Recollections do vary , as our very astute late , much respected Queen Elizabeth II , reminded us . Hid save the King . Long may he reign .

I would honestly have developed some respect for Harry if he had declined it. It would have shown some grace and respectfulness and I might believe he understood that heroism points beyond focus on self, self, self. But Harry doesn’t have that understanding in him.

Is the invictous games Harry’s or the veterans? Harry served what? 10 weeks in a bunker no where near the front line surrounded by special forces 🤯 Harry was not in an Apache whilst in Afghanistan as both the pilot and co-pilot have to be fully qualified pilots in case one becomes incapacitated 🤔 Maybe it’s time for King Charles to tell his son to pull his head in. He maybe Harry’s pa but at the end of the day he’s the king of England and maybe he should act as such.

I love history & from WWI & all the wars since, I have NEVER heard of a vet/former soldier publicly tell the whole world of their 'kill count'. That alone outweighs all Harry has done for Invictus. Real men may tell their family/wife but I don't think they do. Pat's Mum will be the one I will be thinking of when Harry gets this award. In fact if Harry was any real man, he would politely decline the award. Yet he is not a real man so he will get up there, go blah blah blah & Megain will pat him on the head when they get home. He is no hero.

Why is it always said Hazmat has done so much for and with Invictus? In fact, the set-up was all done by Palace staff, and launched and supported by Prince William, King Charles, and Harry too. He was only one of 3. After a while, it was decided to let H be the face of the royals for Invictus, but in no way can Hazmat be credited for the past success of Invictus. And since then, Hazbeen has let Markler co-opt the Games. They also now cost the charity obscene amounts of money; meanwhile, William donated almost half a million pounds! Sentabale? You mean the one now associated with torture and murder and H has done nothing about it? H has achieved precious little.

Hi, Kathryn, joining you from Pennsylvania. IMO, the award must have already been hollow if Harry could grab it (my opinion). Apparently, Harry played soldiers for a while, and now it appears he wants to play “heroes.” Who knows his motivation, or if he has any clue at all. A real hero would never insist on limelight for himself. A real hero would never demand glory for himself. My opinions. I think his self-importance has gone to his head! This debacle (imo) is hard to watch. But I honestly believe Pat Tillman’s heroism will shine brightly forever and cannot be dimmed by any pretender who seeks its reflected light. I hope Mary Tillman understands that that feeling is held by many, many Americans.

Invictus Games are not Harry’s to own. He is the patron and not an effective one. Patrons do not receive awards, they give them to honor the charity and those who do the real work.
