I didn't read Waaggh and neither has my mum - she read a few snippets in one of the papers (maybe the Daily Mail) I visited her one day and she was fuming! What an out-and-out liar she said, she was talking about Harry! He's trying to make out his father, our King was a cold uncaring father. He was and is a fantastic, loving father. That spoilt brat obviously forgets we've seen the newspaper pictures since his birth! My usually mild-mannered 83-year-old mum was raging"

In the US, this condition is called BPH (Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy). Prostate cancer is a different thing. However, even in prostate cancer, most of the time a man will die from something else before he dies from this type of cancer. Again, this is not what the King has.

I'm Scots/Irish American & I wrote at the time how proud I was of the people of Scotland in that they were probably determined that when dead the Queen would not have to endure Meghan and that they would not let her leave them unguarded & unhonored. Hence the spontaneous turn out as her coffin left. I was particularly touched by the people that watched by themselves or in small groups at farms, on horseback or on tractors. I KNEW they would immediately transfer their loyalty to King Charles because of their profound sense of personal loyalty; a trait not shared by his younger son. I believe that the King was uncertain & surprised by this public acceptance by all of the British people as a whole because of the undermining of the monarchy & himself leading up to her death by the twosome, which still goes on. Certainly, he would have taken great personal comfort from it during his own immediate grief. From that certainty I think he grew & continues to grow stronger.

Beautiful sentiment ❤️. The late queen and queen still get credit for fostering King George's memory and legacy and instilling in him the importance and magnitude of the job. It's too bad that a certain spoiled, self exiled younger son didn't seem to get a single shred of the same in his indulgent childhood. I can only imagine how deeply disappointed the king must be.

To me that was a powerful image of connection King Charles has had with his family and the profound impact these moments had on his life. Prince Harry could have such a meaningful life and deeply significant life if he would only be grateful for his past.

He was staying with us whilst my grandmother was on a holiday & my brother & I used to jump in his bed in the mornings and he would wrap us up in the blankets. The day before he died we visited him in hospital and our mother warned us we couldn't jump on his bed, but my grandfather said he wanted us to go so. I now realise how much pain he must have been in. I wonder how our lives might have been different if he hadn't died at that time.

Like you I was gutted that I didn't purchase the 1st editions of HP😢😅. JK Rowling used to come in when her 1st book came out (before the book took off), we were her local bookseller. She would quietly have a peek at the shelf in the evenings when all was quiet. If we caught her we would tell her what her sales were todate. The staff started reading the book and we all enjoyed it so when the school teachers came in looking for recommendations she was top of our list. The most amazing thing happened after that (I had never seen anything like it before) school children came in droves asking for the book. Kids rarely chose their own books prior to that, it was usually the parents. She inspired a whole generation to start reading for real pleasure. ❤

Made me tear up … my brother died of ALS ( Lou Gerhig’s disease) recently… he and I would binge watch Midsommer… he hadn’t seen it ( I was a fan all the way since beginning) but he just loved them, and that was one of our very special things … thanks for that , made me realize how special it was to me as well

I totally agree! I dislike the vacuous US tv shows and endless commercials. I watch anything that comes BBC and now have found some things on YT, The Repair Shop! I’ve watched and rewatched all the police dramas, mysteries, comedies are the best too. Nothing like the dry wit of the Brits! I think it started for me when I was a kid and got hooked on Masterpiece Theatre on PBS!

I don’t know how Queen Elizabeth grew up so grounded and dedicated, but she did, and managed to pass those characteristics to three of her children. Her favorite seems to have gotten spoiled. No surprise there. William has her character. Harry comes across as an entitled brat, and not very intelligent.

I'm currently reading Mr. Hardman's book, "Queen of our Times". Great book! In that book he also mentioned King Charles, then Prince Charles, asking who drank the tea after being told his grandfather had passed away. In the book it also talks about the Princesses' governess, Crawfie and the book she wrote, the Little Princesses. Now that sounds like a fascinating read. I believe you have settled on your next book that you will summarize for us but if not, that might be a great read. As always, Shauna, love your channel. Love from Canada.

I can’t imagine KC hearing Harry say “I’m coming to see you” I mean I’m sure he misses his old version of his son … he may be hoping Harry n he can somewhat reconcile. I hope the king is guarded tho, hoping Harry is made to strip down n gets handed new clothing from security along being scanned for recording devices etc . Phone left with his belongings far away from the King !! I think the focus needs to be on his health and the least amount of stress which means no Harry ! Prayers being sent to King Charles III ! Nice review- love how you highlight the gems ❤
