I listened to the book on Audible, and the thing that struck me the most was how there was nothing that Harry couldn't make into a negative for William. The absolute jealousy and nonstop complaining about everything just permeated every chapter. Every story he told was designed to make himself look like he was either stronger and braver than William or that William was an unfeeling and uncaring brother. Yet Harry gives himself a pass for every disrespectful or cruel thing that he did to others. He told one story about one of the women working at his school and described her in a horrible way, I just couldn't believe how cruel it was and what she and her family had to be feeling. He certainly has no right to complain that the RF didn't protect him, they kept the world from seeing who he really was for a long time. Too bad Harry will never be willing to see that.

They still don’t say anything bad about Harry. They don’t need to. He wrote how he feels about them in his book. One day when M.M. Kicks him to the curb who will he call for help? I guess he better call Saul. He is going to need a lawyer.

I don't think anyone had any idea, the festering jealousy that Harry has for William. Jealous that William is just better at everything. He's better looking, (he looks like Diana) he's more intelligent, he has a perfect family, he has the beautiful Catherine, and probably the thing he's the most jealous of, is that William will be King. The personal information he put out for instance, about both of them being circumcised. You have to wonder why? The only logical explanation is to completely sever ties. You don't say the things Harry has said, (very personal information) and then expect reconciliation, unless he's more dimwitted than we ever knew.

When he and his wife say "protection," what they actually mean is that they expected the palace to silence their critics. They had physical protection the entire time they were there. But the Crown couldn't and wouldn't silence anyone who said something the Sussexes didn't like. They seem to not understand the difference between a limited and an absolute monarchy, and the "nerdy" wife never looked into what happened in 1215 to change that.

"I was shocked at how nasty he was towards his brother." No need to be shocked, it's exactly the kind of thing one observes over and over again in many families where one of the members is stricken with a consuming case of sibling rivalry. The difference here is that this particular instant involves one of the most high-profile, influential families in the world and that what makes Sparry's 400 page Whine-a-thon "news". Sparry's bleating about garbage like he only got 2 sausages to William's 3 (bet the tosser didn't eat the 2 he was given!) and whining about his "smaller room' (in a bloody, luxurious palace, while others are homeless/starving), is the kind of "complaints" one frequently hears from siblings ("Hey she got the new jeans, but I had to wear hand-me-downs! type of utter trivia!), Virtually all of that 400 page pity-party is of the same species of "complaint" accompanies with personal digs and revelation of personal details that the targeted sibling would like to remain private for further "revenge".

@Venus Star Yes, it's so hard when it's a sibling. I hear you. I have a sister I had to cut loose, too. She was jealous of me from the day I was born, just because I was born and took attention from her. You'd think as an adult with a master's degree she'd have grown out of that, but no, even as adults every visit would include her saying something to try to cut me down or destroy me and she was always sabotaging my efforts to get ahead rather than being supportive. And, if I ever say anything about it then she's the victim. I finally had to say enough is enough and cut her loose. I'm sure William has reached that point and wishes he'd reached it sooner. But, it's hard to acknowledge how bad it really is when it's a sibling. Take care.

Rather than accept responsibility and admit it was an awful thing to do and talk about how he had learned from his mistake, he did what a 4 and 5 year-old does and try to cast blame on someone else and in this case, Wills and Kate. “Well they laughed about it so I shouldn’t be blamed for it and get mad at them too” is what he is saying. No, Harry, the nazi uniform was your decision and yours alone. I do not allow my child to make excuses for her behavior and I especially will not excuse it in an adult. Even if what Harry said about William and Catherine is true (and I do not for a second believe that it is), by Harry's own admission it was HE who narrowed down his costume options to a pilot and a Nazi. Like, before you even bring William and Catherine into it, on his own, Harry can't decide between a pilot and a Nazi?! He needs a second opinion on that? Nazi made his shortlist? That's no one's fault but his. He tries to say his ignorance is partly due to his family, partly education, etc. Well Harry, I can't help but notice no one else in your immediate family dressed up like a Nazi for funsies, nor did they describe their girlfriend as being from Zimbabwe "but don't worry, she's not black or anything", or tell Stephen K Amos that he "doesn't sound like a black chap", or video himself referring to fellow soldiers as "our little paki friend" and "you look like a raghead". And then they have to put their feelings aside and be there for their children and charities with genuine smiles for all. But, a betrayal like that just takes it out of you. I really don't know how William and Catherine do it.

The name Lillibet is the very private pet name of our beloved late Queen. One of the most ultimate betrayals in my mind is telling the world Prince William is circumcised. How dare he, just because Harry is obsessed with his own private parts doesn't give him the right to discuss his brother in that way.

I haven't read the book myself. All I know is through other channels, and the many hours of commentary and reading passages. What struck me most is how long Harry went on believing that Diana hadn't died. I'm convinced William talked to him about his journey of acceptance and his search for the true Diana. And I'm convinced Harry has rejected William from that moment on. Harry's betrayal, and him not believing William, is long-standing, pervasive and persistent. I see it in how Harry treats *nothing* connected to William as sacred. There is no line that Harry won't cross. And I don't believe Harry wants to reconcile.

I used to like Harry but that was before he opened his mouth and started talking and everything out of his mouth was designed to make the whole world feel sorry for him. There is something disgusting and repulsive about a millionaire prince who constantly whines about what a rough life he has. There is also something extremely disgusting and repulsive about someone who would spend all his time stabbing his own family in the back. Yes, I USED to like him. I now dislike him intensely! I loved it when you said that Prince William MIGHT have had "red eyes" because it was brought home to him again that his mother would miss this milestone in his life. Of course Harry did not consider that possibility because he is so self-centered that he is incapable of putting himself in another person's place and imagining what they might be feeling. His snarky digs at Prince William throughout his book I think is not only because Prince William is the better-looking prince, but Prince William is also the one who will one day be king, and I think that is eating Harry alive. He can whine on about sausages and the size of rooms and who is losing the most hair, but the bottom line is, dear Harry, YOUR BROTHER WILL BE KING...NOT YOU! I didn't read Waaagh and if he comes out with another book, I will not read that either. I also gave the Netflix propaganda piece a miss. He lies so much that I don't see that anything would be accomplished by listening to a single word that comes out of his mouth. Also, I will NEVER do anything to put even one thin dime in the pocket of this overgrown, bratty, irresponsible, whining, STUPID little man who used to be prince! BTW, the very title of his book is a lie because he is NOT the Spare and has not been since the birth of Prince George a decade or so ago. The births of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis moved him even further from the position of "spare" and having lost that position, he pretty much is currently NOTHING. Maybe that should have been the title of his book because "nothing" is a more accurate description of him than "spare". And as Columbo used to say, "There's just one more thing." It may come as a shock to Harry but I think most of us are not at all interested in learning when he lost his virginity. We are much more interested in knowing when he lost his ever-lovin' mind!

First, my compliments for your choices and analysis of them! Second, this book shows us without any reasonable doubt, that Priсk Sparry has been simply consumed with jealousy and hatred of William since childhood. He's never matured emotionally and intellectually since that point as a result (full developmental arrest), instead becoming nothing but a selfish, spiteful, completely self-absorbed, self-unaware middle-aged spoiled brat who thinks the world's owes him. When he speaks I have to remind myself that he's actually rapidly approaching middle-age, and not the whining, self-aggrieved 10 year that he's actually coming across as!. His choice of me-Me-MEhgain was deliberate in that she was the perfect weapon he could use against a family/institution that he hates so passionately. Those who blame this scheming, social-climbing slag he married for his behavior are wrong to do so in that he's a willing, eager partner in their attempts to destroy his family and at the same time profit from it.

Like a lot of people, I thank you for reading a book that I absolutely refuse to as these tidbits are more than enough. William & Catherine's wedding was stunningly beautiful happy and joyful from start to finish. William looked so dashing in his uniform with not a hint of anything negative...at all. And I have never seen a more confident bride ever as Catherine was. Here she is on the world's stage walking with her father with nothing but joy and the strength of knowing they had made the right choice. Beautiful. Hazz & Nutmeg's wedding was a fiasco from the beginning and Hazz didn't look happy, nervous or eager, he just looked tired and strained. Of course Nutmeg was a mess with a nasty smirk on her face and who can forget the clownish minister. Fiasco. Thank you I just couldn’t read the book but I have kept up with its contents. Cheere Denise went through the whole book with her hazzy impersonations etc. so brought a bit of comedy into it as well. That is the only way I could do it. It is so despicable the things he says about his brother and as you pointed out discussing their private language regarding their mother is unforgivable. I think it is good that William knows that his brother is lost to him now. It is painful but life goes on and William has much bigger things to consider and take care of. 💎🙏💕🐨

"Did he lose his conscience when he met MM, or had this part of PH been carefully covered up?" No, he and Skank (MM) are both flaming, hypocritical narcissists who are both equally cupable, eager wannabe destroyers of what they can't have (no doubt in my mind that William was Skank's real target as she sees herself as a Queen and Hank is so conceited that he believes he should be King instead of William). Narcissists are usually characterized by a lack of conscience, no empathy and no moral compass.

Haz’s jealous resentment of W&K’s vastly more popular marriage, their bigger, more beautiful wedding and home, even their children, were outed in Spare. As was his resentment of their superior compatibility, intelligence, kindness, generosity, good looks, royal status, loyalty, charm, and popularity ect. But it was the success of their decades long loving, happy, fun-loving, and supportive relationship that he’s apparently become the most jealous and resentful of. Understandable since, despite their constant claims to the contrary, his own relationship has been on a downward trajectory since their wedding, with him nearly always looking miserable and his wife smiling and playing attention to everyone but him, especially if they have a camera. While W&K’s relationship has appeared to actually get stronger, happier, more confident and secure over the years. They still have fun together, treat each other with respect, and are often caught sneaking affectionate touches and looking at each other with pride and admiration as one or the other is speaking. But besides their excessive, immature, handholding, we haven’t seen anything close to similar from H&M since the end of the first love bombing stage, making it clear that all those lovey-dovey looks, at least on Megan’s part, were sadly never real to begin with. And whether he realizes that or not, he’s obviously recognized the differences between their relationship and his own, likely even comparing his wife to W’s, at least subconsciously. And because he’s incapable of taking responsibility for his bad choices, or placing blame on himself or Meghan, he’s channeled all these negative feelings into hate and blame of his once beloved brother and sister-in-law. 😔

He just doesn't WANT to see his mum in the brother he clearly has hated and resented a VERY long time.

Megan was the one writing the book at this point, she would have had to try and destroy the beautiful memories everyone had, and still has of the Cambridge's wedding, pure love, surrounded by both of their families as opposed to hers, no family on her side but her mother and holywood actors the majority unknown to them. A total fiasco, in comparison.

I must admit that I could not finish the book. The level of immaturity, the repeated proof of arriving at absurd conclusions due to his lack of intellectual ability, the number of obvious lies, errors or revisions of history was just overwhelming. I was immediately struck by the level of self absorption Harry demonstrated when meeting Charles & William after Phillips funeral. He showed no compassion for his father. He showed no awareness of the family history and lessons Charles had tried to share over the years. His expectation that his desire for a big conversation focused on his issues should be dealt with at that time and place was simply ludicrous. He was oblivious that this was a moment when family should come together and support each other in a shared loss. To my mind that opening chapter summarized exactly what a shallow self absorbed dimwitted person Harry is.

I refuse to read the book (or buy it) but the constant griping by H & M, and the inconsistencies and backtracks are a huge deterrent. however, hearing that he betrayed sacred family moments and disclosed them (including the key words) that historially helped to retain the sanctity and connection of the brothers, screams that he does not care, has no respect for ,and no desire to resolve matters with William and in fact his envy and jealousy (combined iwth arrogance) is almost singular. He may be suffering from a Personality Disorder but i do believe Charles needs to think of William and himself now. How many people have been killed by family members experiencing drug psychosis? They never thought it would happen and loved their family member. Love from a distance I say - and be safe. Harry is a total toxic liability. If i was KC III i'd offer support over the phone but even then you wouldn't know if it was going to be tapped, or sms shown on TV.

I still can't believe just how much Harry betrayed both his father & brother in this pitiful book. I believed it couldn't get any lower than his putting into print, the private words spoken by his father, to both William and Harry & Prince Philip's funeral & the secret code between these 2 brothers "on mummy's life" & how William used this code to get through to thick headed, younger, way less intelligent brother, when they rowed out to where Diana is buried. I can't imagine how hurtful this must have been to both KCIII & Prince William. Mind you these horrible betrayals in the book, were seen after the betrayals aired by Netflix! I am still in shock that Harry had the gall to say he was the only one in the family to marry for love & that everyone else married according to the institutional "fit".
