The Spencer family was very wealthy. Diana wore the Spencer family tiara at the wedding. Her family arguably has a claim to the Crown as she is a descendant of King Charles II through an illegitimate son. He is my favorite king. He had to hide in a hollowed out tree from Cromwell’s assassins as a child. He restored Catholicism bloodlessly and had to forgive the country that beheaded his father. He chose to stay with his wife even though she couldn’t bear him an heir. He also sported an enormous black wig.

This is the experience of a biracial black woman who saw the true colors of institution that saw the true colors of a governing systems and institution. If this system is racist to her? Then imagine how racist it is to the people it governs, how racist it is to the single mothers of color. This is putting a spotlight on mental health and racism. One of the things that was said that made me tear up was when Harry said, that he would not have been able to move his family and have security if it wasn't for what his mom had left him. That was so powerful because it speaks volumes about Diana. Even though she is not here she is still taking care of her son and now his wife and her grandson. Diana is still with her sons. I love knowing that. Diana was gone too soon but she still have her son's back.

We all think it happens to other people it wont happen to me. A friend said the same thing she knew what she was getting into but the 1st time she met Harry's Grandma he had to teach her to curtsy. Thank God Princess Beatrice had presence of mind to help Meaghan learn. Also Harry was breed into this life so he just knows and trying to remember all protocols beforehand to teach her. Nobody could have known the names and stories the press made up about her there's no preparing for that. They had charity work in common and felt they could help change the world for the better in their charity works.

I don't think his father and brother aren't trapped. They are where they want to be. They accepted their birthright as their purpose and calling in life.

I have to say- I despise the way that the Royal Family treated Diana. But this ain’t that. I think Megan Markle is more calculating than people think. I don’t for a second buy that she “had no idea” who Harry was, or what marrying him meant that she had to do. I don’t buy a lot of this.

So many things she said in this interview are just factually inaccurate so I don’t understand why we are supposed to just believe everything else without questioning it. “My truth” omg I hate that phrase; it literally allows narcissists like Meghan to say whatever they want and not be held accountable. There’s THE truth and that’s it. She could say “my perception” or “my interpretation of what happened” (or even, Meghan’s case, “my delusion”) but this whole “my truth” bs needs to stop.

If they like to service the public they can do public service without royal titles, like thousands and millions do. Harry used the word 'trapped'. Good for him for getting free! She was NOT referring to the family as we commonly understand family, in fact she and Harry both carefully made clear that this was NOT about the "family" but the institutions that govern and rule how that family live their lives. Diana knew from the beginning, Charles was involved with Camilla and couldn't marry her since she had children. Charles knew Camilla from when they were teenagers. Diana wanted to be the Queen from age 6, when she thought her older sister was going to marry Charles. Their estate was next door to Balmoral Castle. Diana knew exactly what she was getting into. She wanted to serve the People as the Queen.

The fact that people are denying her story and yet Diana has said the same and felt the same is sad. They said the Queen and Prince Philip were and are great. It’s Charles. We all know how cruel and selfish Charles is.

Meghan seems to have lots of anger build up. We all deal with things differently but she is stirring up so much drama. They both chose to step away so why can't they just let things go and move on.

Being aware of this whole thing thru the media of course the thought of Diana was always in my mind as an American who remembers getting up early in the 8th grade to watch her wedding on tv as I'm sure many can relate. All I could think was Diana would be so proud of Harry's courage and conviction! Diana raising her boys the best that she could within that antiquated system is obviously why her boys have become the men they are.... The sad part is if Diana was still alive, they wouldn't have been able to leave. They would probably still be trapped too. They are able to live completely independently now because Harry has his inheritance from Diana.

Definitely his father, William probably was a little bit more forgiving being that he grew up in a more diverse upbringing unlike Charles, where segregation and racism was instilled, he is ancient after all. AND it totally makes sense that it is Charles that made this comment because truly, Harry is everything he never was in a partner/husband. Charles cheated the entire time with (insert negative name) Camilla and it only makes sense to rain on someone’s parade because he is truly bitter inside even if it is his own son. Harry made a power move. IMO 🙏🏾
