Yes - I'm glad that comment came from someone identifying as 'black', because as a pinky-beige person, I have noticed also that she veers sharply from pale to dark - presumably depending on her mood - or perhaps her outfit. It isn't even consistent.. That's her choice, but it is ridiculous to try to use it as some kind of political statement.

Confidence and pride are not the same. Prince William is confident because he is an accomplished rescue pilot, having flown multiple actual missions to help people. He represents the British monarchy, and seems to enjoy representing the monarchy to the British people, probably because he genuinely likes the British people and the British culture. POW Catherine also seems to genuinely enjoy meeting the British public, as she is part of the people and culture. Even the best actors and actresses cannot feign these qualities on a continual basis, and a D-list actress feign this for more than a few minutes before the mask slips and she reveals the ugly truth.

The wonderful thing about William and Catherine is she is genuine and never deliberately tries to upstage her husband. William is not at all jealous of the attention she gets and encourages her to shine. They are two confident, genuinely in love individuals. The difference with Diana and Catherine is Diana deliberately did her best to upstage and vilify Charles. The media continually showcased Diana’s good works while totally ignoring Charles achievement’s! Meghan hasn’t a shred of respect for Harry, she leads him around like a sad little puppy. I can’t wait until their names are never uttered again in the media.
