I guess this shouldn't come as a surprise due to the nature of his vocal delivery, but is his voice just shot here? I saw them just a few days before this set, and they sounded incredible. I mean, I can only imagine how difficult it must be to keep from blowing out your voice on tour singing like that. Damn

He does sound a little tense in parts, the screams still sound pretty great tho heh can definitely hard to maintain your voice on tour, even just from the exhaustion of it

in his defense the tour had ended literally the day before and they had just flown in from chicago so it probably wouldve been cleaner if he had time to rest it

@@troy02627 oh yea for sure he definitely sounds less strained in other videos from this tour. I mean it happens to all of us, some days it's easier to sing then others. He's only human and still sounds great considering!

I love the band and in case they ever saw this I wouldn't want to hurt their feelings. However, I think they are in an awkward phase where they are playing larger venues so certain atmospheric or stylistic decisions that worked well for basement shows don't really translate well to a good PA system. In short, the vocals are too loud and clean in the mix. But, I actually don't think that's the main problem. What I hear here as the bigger problem is that the band is playing songs too fast, IMO. A common problem a ton of bands face live. Some bands adapt to it well, though, because their music was a little slow in the recordings anyway. Regardless, it is a bit much for the singer to try to do. I think the issues they have could be solved if they found a way to stay at studio-tempo. Speaking as someone who played in a band and dealt with these issues. We played too fast and it was causing our vocalists a lot of problems and we had to really work to address that. And we discovered that it was better to be too slow than too fast, and we had to make a concerted effort to play with our heads instead of our hearts.
