Connie, you are not alone! Prince has been a part of me since 1980! I truly miss him (I use to travel every chance I got to his Paisley Park studios to see him!).. we are blessed to still have his music to help us get by this “crazy thing called life”!💜💜💜

I don't like hearing the distorted leads -- they seem like anyone could do them. I saw him play undistorted once, nobody else onstage with him -- unbelievable. The audience really quieted down. Best performance I've ever seen probably.
A once-in-forever talent. There never was and never will be another talent and musical force like Prince.

Don't cry, you don't have to be sad because it's over, you have to be happy and smile because it happened ... and when it happened you were there! Be thankful for it, bro!
His mastery of all styles is what puts him above the others in my opinion. The other guitar greats may have mastered a style or two but P shredded in ALL genres!!!

Truly amazing guitar playing. If you didn’t get to see Prince live you missed the best guitarist that ever walked the planet. His body of work speaks 4 itself. What’s so crazy is the vault has even better music then what he released to the public. It’s hard to believe but it’s o’ so true. The world will probably never hear all of his music. Prince was so prolific and an absolute genius and will be 4EVER missed but never forgotten🎸
Forever Prince
Even after all those years.......He still played like His Life dependent on it 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
Until I watched this, I thought that Ritchie Blackmore and Gary Moore were the two best guitarists I had seen. Now I think it's Prince.

@@juliawilly9151 It's really not. I'll take the multi-instrumentalist/composer/producer/singer/songwriter/dancer/actor/director/digital music pioneer/pop icon/improvisational live performer who could rock a stadium leading a 10-piece band and then serenade a small crowd with only an acoustic guitar (played by himself) on the same night (and likely had on multiple occasions).

Best guitar player of his generation. No question about it.

Prince was pure magic, a star that burned too bright to last forever here w us. However that bright star left us all w lasting gems of songs and performances to remind us all who the GOAT was and still is! 💜

I was Fortunate Enough to See him Live about 5 Times in Atlanta GA. The Man Could Really Play the Guitar!!!
i hadnt heard the 1985 Live version of Something In The Water before, id only found the soundcheck version from the Orange Bowl, also from 1985. Stumbled onto that gem a few years ago now on KZread. but i love how, with Prince especially, the same song could always have so many distinct interpretations and versions. The Live version from 85, the live version from 2014, the soundcheck version in Miami, it's crazy

I am 54 and I am embarrassed to say I am just discovering a lot of his music I was there in the beginning in middle school and high school when it all started but because he was in that pop category I stopped listening to him. I think a lot of people did. Never would I have thought he could play anything he wanted to. My rediscovery started 2004 rock roll hall fame performance I literally was shocked

Prince's best live guitar solo, Purple Rain Live in Syracuse 85. Tear jerker
Wow this is interesting guitar 🎸 solo genius he was💯🙏⭐️⚡️🎵🎤🌏
That's great. Thank you! Miss you. Love you. Prince is the best ever!💜
Supposedly, Prince was asked by producers before his iconic Super Bowl halftime performance if he was “concerned” that it was raining. His response? “Can you make it rain harder?”

That was absolutely epic and shows his genius. Such an under-rated guitarist. Died too young. So sad 😢

The question to Clapton, if I am recalling correctly, was: “how does it feel being the best guitarist?” Clapton replied: “I don’t know. Ask Prince.”

I stand corrected. Eric Clapton is Amazing. Jeff Beck isn’t human. But Prince -who no one talks about-is the most amazing guitarist I have ever heard-and I heard Jimmy Hendrix. His Star Spangled Banner was transcendent. But Price……..

Actually, Clapton never said that, though it must be noted that Clapton is a racist old crank. Impossible to say "best" when it comes to music and art, but clearly Prince has been as "good" of a guitarist as there has EVER been. Period.

Thank you @@johnfike7612. As I annotated; “… if I am recalling correctly,…” I am unfamiliar with Clapton’s behavior as a racist. Never was his fan. But Prince was well beyond “good”.
