Well that old stove brings back memories. We had to lug them around plus fuel on a 4 day peninsula trek around Applecross Wester Ross Scotland.They were great for drying soggy wet SOCKS at night and keeping you warm.Luckily we stopped off at old bothies at night.👍👍

Hello there!

Wow that is an old backpacker item. A friend's dad had one of these and used it to trek across the province one year, said the main issue was getting the seals fouled up if you had to fill it and it got moved about.

as a child we had one of these and a tilley kero pressure lamp for camping , love them and they lasted from my childhood to my grandsons 3 rd birthday

Hi there, I love my tilley lanterns, I have a few, autumn is getting close with the equinox a little over a week away. I will have to get them out for a burn. Thanks for your comment

I used one of these in the early 2000’s started using it in place of the equally heavy Coleman petrol stove, this was so much more reliable with less flare ups. I regret selling it around 2013 posted to the U.S from England, I may buy another if I see one for the right price.

hello! I'm from Ukraine. I used this stove for cooking when there were heavy shelling. and the gas was unavailable. It's a great thing for survival
