The coming-of-age, single-camera comedy, inspired by Shea Serrano’s life growing up in San Antonio, follows Rafa Gonzales, a wide-eyed 16-year-old being raised by his clever mother, Drea, and his five overbearing uncles (Rollie, Mike, Ryan, Jay, and Mondo) as they live their lives on the southside of San Antonio. Rafa is at an inflection point, as three big life moments coincide: he and his friends are nearing the end of high school, he’s pretty sure he just met the girl of his dreams, and he just found out he has a real chance to become the first person in his family to go to college. Over the course of the series, the group-Rafa, his mom, uncles, friends, and crush-will all affect each other and help one another grow in ways they weren’t expecting, whether they like it or not.

This trailer doesn’t even come close to how funny the actual show is. Sadly seems to be flying under the radar but it needs more seasons asap

I adore this show. It feels like New Girl. The vibe is perfect. Freevee is 3/3 for original shows. Sprung and Jury Duty are excellent too.

I just finished today. I started Primo earlier tonight and had to finish right away. I had to.
Saw the premiere at Seriesfest a week ago- one of the funniest new shows I've seen in a really really long time. So, so excited to watch the whole thing. Literally cannot recommend it enough!!

I love the show. Super funny n great characters. I do have a question though. Why is it call Primo when the Spanish word for nephew is Sobrino. Does anybody know?
Im confused...if the show is about him having 5 uncles, why is it called "Cousin" and not "Uncles"? LOL!!!

San Antonian here. I've always used tio/tia. My kids & my sobrino's speak very little to no spanish at all but they never use aunt/uncle, only tia/tio.
why does the gf look older than his mom, it's creepy

she’s american but Puerto Rican heritage and it’s based on the producers life he is mexican american . I’d rather see her then some one who doesn’t have any connection to his background .

I watched the first three episodes.. coming from American born Latino. This show tried so hard not to use any Spanish. And when spainish was used, they would say it with a major English accent. It's like they were trying to make the family white washed..I was confused why they would call him primo instead of sobrino. He would also call his uncles "uncles" instead of Tio's.. Also, the show for me was not as funny as many have stated. They were trying so hard to make it funny and failed miserably.

Terrible acting and basic plot. Not sure why people find this show funny
