Hahaha!!! I was thinking the same thing!!!! How convenient he just found them???!!! They weren't even attached to the rocks.... so freshwater oysters even grow that big???

That's cool it makes me want to go outside and cook😊

They are definitely not oyster. At my place, we call it as "kijing" or "toe" for the big one, and "haremis" for the small one (Pilsbryoconcha exilis). They do live in streams or pond and stay between rocks.

We called it Taiwan clam in our province... Sometimes we catch it in the with matching leech in our arms hehhee but it's a lot of fun to catch this clams😁😁

Caribbean Sunset He did. Living clams are usually opened slightly to allow for food to be filtered into their mouths. These are dead, store bought; placed in a river they are not native to. Fabricated survival. Where's bear grylls and his McDonalds?

FYI, Large clams like this are generally found in saltwater not freshwater.

So what's this one doing? A woman pick up the first one then it turned to a young man. Did not want to damage fingernails. Nice size fresh water oysters really. Wow. Did not expect to see well manicured nails on a Primitive Technology person I'm sorry. But running around looking under rock an playing with fire my claws break an splinter they grow back but it's rare to keep them all in such good condition. I've yet to see those big size oysters. Thank You Loader.
