There's a certain reassurance to these videos that I will always keep coming back for- a reminder of what we're capable of even alone. Imagine what 4, 8, 12, 20 etc people can achieve cooperating with this knowledge and it slowly becomes clear how mankind managed to survive as long as it has. How cities were built and thrived even long before technology could extend our natural lives. Not to sound corny but, holding onto these methods of surviving from the past really is a little bit of insurance for our future. God forbid we should need to someday, it's good to know how to put the pieces back together.

The crazy thing though is the people that initially figured this stuff out and decided to share it instead of horde it. I honestly cant even comprehend how people figure out how to make things like metal and decided that "hey this looks good to make a tool better than stone".

Capable of and should be doing alone. Man runs into trouble when he asks for help on things he doesn't necessarily need help with. This is proof like you said we can do things (99%) on our own. You have built enough and if you ever get with another one here ( I think called Primitive Skills) that does the rice field and irrigation along with dishes and other stuff. You would be able together gather many people that live and sleep on the dirt now. And be a father of a nation a beautiful comfortable civilization. No Joke. Bare hand. In México we would say "a pelo". Your videos are such an inspiration. It is a clear statement of how society and humans are deep down submerged in a wrong sense of progress. Large communities living close to a factory, a major city, a mall. Workers into a never-ending machinery of pollution, creating objects programmed to be obsolete. The notion of private property. Paper that represent value. Currency dividing nations. "My money is more powerful than your money". Greed. The only way to "win the game" is to take advantage of the work of a bunch. You sir, are working a land. History, media and personal experience drive me to say: You sir, are working the land of the free. And from my level of understanding of class struggle, you sir, are building the home of the brave. It is so brave to invest effort and time into a project like this one. Some people would consider this an inspiration others a cute hobby. I think your labour is far beyond any contemporary notion of success. Bare hand. Human power, human will. This is the footprint we might consider affordable to our home planet. No home depot, no fancy gloves, shoes, no brands, no elaborate envelopes. Bare hand. Every breath you take connects. Every sound you incorporate into this magnificent ambience of rainforest connects. Yet again here we are, using a laptop, mobile, etc watching a man being free until we go back to our every day concrete-pavement-processed wood-metal material reality. I got to ask. What does your neighbors say about your architectural and landscape design ideas? Thanks for sharing your work. Saludos desde México!
