News to me, thought I'd share: a dermatologist recommended letting sunscreen (chemical or mineral) sit on your face at least 8.5 minutes before applying any other product or makeup.

When I have sunscreens I don’t like / might be starting to get a little old etc I save and use on my hands! Good to keep in the car and can put on before driving etc! I actually try and do this with other types of skin care too whenever I can and use creams or serums or whatever that didn’t really work for me on my hands or other parts of my body..

When I have a face cream that I'm not crazy in love with it but I want to use it up, I just use it on my body. No waste guilt and hydrated body. Win win

Use the Vichy right after you get out of the shower (or wash your face) when your skin is damp before moisturizer! Best way to use it and get the best benefits! Love your channel!

A little tip; When I open a new skincare product or something, I have started to write the date on the back of the product. Since most products usually last 6-12 months after opening (not until the actual expire date), it's much easier to keep track of when it's actually going bad 😊 Have had so many products I've been unsure if I had them open for to long and just ended up not using them up because of that. So I found writing the date is super helpful 🙏🏻

FYI the expiration date and use by after opening date is different! Expiration date is when it expires without opening. The little jar with the month picture is how long it lasts after opening. For example products usually expire 3 years after purchase without opening and 1 year after opening. Hope this helps! :)

Not true. The date on package is when the active ingredients stop being as effective. You usually don't even have a date on things that don't have actives or sunscreens

@@karinapalazzo7549 hmm that’s not what I’ve heard from chemists and formulators and when I reached out to brands. In K-beauty pretty much everything has both an expiration date printed and use by after opening date. Maybe it differs depending on the brand/ country?

And it doesn't make someone fake if they suggest products that they love. I tell all my friends to try great products that doesn't make me fake or real. It makes me me. And some people can just go buy whatever they want. I'm not gonna judge them either lol.

I tried using aquaphor on my lips like you’ve suggested in the past, and it works so well! Much better than my LaNeige and Bite lip masks.

I wasn't crazy about the D Bronzi drops either, but I have found the perfect use for them - my feet in the summer LOL. I self tan my legs, so I use the D bronzi to make my feet match when I'm wearing sandals

That Tatcha Silk Canvas primer definitely lasts longer than the six months it says. It takes me a year to use one up, and it’s always just fine. I promise. And, I’m like, death on expired products.

Elf has a putty primer applicator that I really like. It has a scoop on one end. I bought a couple...works well for moisturizers in a jar too!

I use the Bobbi Brown Face Base myself. Love it! It is scented but more a mild cirrus vs floral & is undetectable once on. I do not like tubs or jars for anything. That said, I bought some silicone squeeze travel tubes @ Homegoods & put it all in there & chucked the tub. Problem solved.

Jessica, Vichy Mineral 89 is actually meant to be a hyaluronic acid serum, it performs best used before your cream or oil step, really amps up the moisture! Try it in your evening routine xx

Do you guys really throw away your makeup products after the expiration date? I feel like I only part ways when products start smelling/feeling different lol I feel like products don’t magically go bad right after expiration.

When it comes to liquid products, they can irritate your skin, cause breakouts and other issues. Watch your skin closely with an older product and see how your skin reacts. I’ve definitely noticed itchiness or tiny bumps when I test if a product I’m thinking has gotten older.

Unless the texture or the smell changes I keep it, but if it has spf then I throw away at the expiration date.

I'm SO glad you mentioned the problem with the Revlon Rose Glow. I like the product very much but yes, that dropper does not dispense it easily. It looks as though there's a dropperful but it just doesn't squeeze out!

For the sunscreens that you don’t like on your face but cost a ton you should try putting them on the back of your hands... our hands are always unprotected by clothing and are one of the first places we show signs of aging. It would be a great way to use up product without wasting money 😉

I think there's something wrong with your mic Jess. On my phone, the volume changes slightly, around the 17-20 minute mark, but on playing you on my TV it is so obvious. I could barely hear you during that time. Love the video though 😊😊😍 x

I use the hourglass no28 primer on the outer portion on my face since I'm combination, and usually a pore filling in the center. Also on light days or in the winter all over.

If I have some liquid/serum primers that I don't like, I just mix them up with my body moisturizer and use them up! :) a tip if it helps anyone!! :) Love your videos as always!!

I love supergoop matte sunscreen. I'm on my 3rd bottle, and it's totally worth the price. I've never had a primer give me any benefits, and i bought supergoop not for it's primer benefits, but because I just wanted a sunscreen that didn't make me greasy and played well with make up. Supergoop is a great sunscreen and really does make my makeup last.

Omg, I’m drinking coffee out of my Marie Mug I bought at Target! It has a pink bow for the handle! I love yours too though

Hourglass 28 is a great primer that I buy off and on. I have dry sensitive skin so I don't wash my face in the mornings, but I like to put this serum/primer on and I haven't had any weird reactions. You do have to wait at least 2-5 minutes before sunscreen/make up. My fave way to use this is to put it on as soon as I get up and then brush my teeth and fix my hair before makeup or sunscreen. Otherwise it will cause a serious breakdown of whatever product you put on your face next.

I use Tatcha SPF for years and I have no issues with makeup on top of it ( and I don’t wait before applying my makeup ) Maybe you have problems with your skincare mixed with this sunscreen... I use SkinCeuticals vitamine C for serum and Tatcha water cream as skincare and no problem with Tatcha sunscreen and makeup 💄. Have a good day ! 🌸

That Tatcha sunscreen does NOT pill on me at all, under makeup or otherwise. I have been using it for over a year and it's heaven to me. I highly recommend it. Not sure why it didn't work for Jessica. The SuperGoop Glow one is way too metallic looking when you put it on.

I am not much of a foundation wearer but I love primers that have a glow or tint or blue so I can just smack that on and put some blush and highlighter over it and I'm good to go.

I loved watching this declutter (all 30 minutes of it☺)! In some point you did ones that weren't as relaxing to watch, and I even wrote a couple of comments that it seemed too quick. Now in this video you are giving good reviews while choosing what to keep without rushing❤ I never knew if you read the feedback but maybe you did?! I haven't ever liked using a primer because I feel I can achieve so much with choosing the right AM skincare. I have a primer that should fill the pores but I think it doesn't help the foundation to look right. I can get glow from skincare or the foundation so the primer feels useless. I still like watching videos about primers...

When I struggle between SPF and primer, I squeeze both on top of my hand mix them together and put them both on together … Works great!

The DE D-Bronzi stuff is pretty good. I bought it per Hyram's recommendation for an anti-pollution serum/primer. I mix mine with my moisturizer before makeup and I do like the way it looks on my skin. I'm not sure I noticed it doing anything but it makes me feel like it does. Where I work has a lot of smokers and pollution so I wanted some protection. I would recommend it but only if you're in the market for it.

Since it’s not a tinted SPF, try using the Tatcha up by urging it in your car and using it in your hands while driving. We get so much sun damage on our hands through our windshield in our cars. Just a tip from an esthetician to keep all of your skin protected!!! 😘🌞

The only primer I'm using is the Maybelline Master Prime Hydrate and Smooth primer (blue and black tube). It does help the longevity of my makeup a little bit. But I wear it mostly because it is the perfect touch of moisture for my combo/oily skin. A moisturizer underneath is always too much. This primer is the perfect base. It hydrates the dry areas and makes my texture look smoother. And my oils never seem to be exaggerated like other hydrating primers. I'm on my 4th tube.

I enjoy the hourglass no. 28 primer. I have veryyyy dry skin. I use it directly under foundation (My foundation is my spf generally). It feels so soothing on my skin and sinks in very quick on dry skin. A little goes a long way so use it sparingly!

Love my Supergoop too!! Just received my coffee and KZread merch today!! Can’t wait to have my evening coffee in it❤️☕️
