It was probably an anti-government protest and it carries better than shouting. I like Rishi but also like that we are tolerant and that people can protest. Our brains are big enough to not get overwhelmed by the music.

@T Yes, true - Brown wasn’t voted in by Labour members - he had no opposition - he got it the same way as Sunak has- the party members were excluded from the vote. Labour will be even worse. Labour run cities and councils tend to be the worst. The Tories utterly wasted "the mandate" - the majority that the public gave them. Wasted years and gave it away to Labour. Last minute electioneering is very unlikely to cut it - he undermined and sacked Braverman - who actually wanted to do something. He continually fails to read the room. Trust is in short supply; Labour WILL be worse, but that isn't enough to save the Tories. What a shambles.

Please!!! the furlough scheme was the work of the unions - from a TUC white paper - Millions of jobs were protected by the Job Retention (furlough) scheme which the TUC was instrumental in persuading the UK government to introduce and also in designing the scheme.
